I have heard that CCM does not recruit players who have publicly committed to other schools. I like that. Shows integrity. So it strikes me that he isn't the kind of guy who would go back on any of his commitments to any of his players or recruits, including Landry. Therefore, I think it highly likely that one of his current recruits or his current players have told him that they aren't going to play for UT next year. My guess is that it isn't Landry. My other guess is that it will come from the wing types, of which there are many and playing time will be scarce next year for those who rode the bench this year. Best guess: Chievous.

Chievous had a lot of playing time down the stretch. I would say Edwards.....or maybe Reese.

Jalen Lindsey will call UT a great school but his Head Coach at CPA is Drew Maddox and Brian Alsmiller is one of the assistants. CPA has recruited a great all star team to make sure Jake Alsmiller (guess who's son he is?) will be an all star state champion. Right now the only team that has a very slim chance against the CPA Lions State Champion AA Invitational is Jackson Southside and that is a slim and none chance. UT may have offered Jalen Lindsey a scholarship but my guess is that Drew Maddux would break both Lindsey's knee caps before he would allow him to sign with UT. I am not saying CPA is not good but they really belong in the private school division with Brentwood Academy; MBA; etc;.

Let's just hope that Jalen can make his own decisions if he truly wants to be a VOL!!!

Would love to see him on the hill. We have room for another Jalen..... :)

If I remember correctly, Bray was going to San Diego State until Lanney changed his mind. I'll take the guy Lanney ran off any day over Bray. Probably both schools would have been better off without the changes. So many mistakes for so many years!!!

I believe that would have been Taj Boyd.

With that said, Bray was not the problem with UT during his time here.

I really wish he would keep Pittman. Our O-Line was possibly the brightest spot on this team this year.

Also, I'm not convinced that we will have the best coaching staff if he brings that many from Cincy with him. Time will tell and I hope I'm wrong.

He really needs to add Tee Martin to this staff.

Nice play on words!! I was not happy about this hire, but he is at least a proven winner. It remains to be seen if he can withstand the SEC, but it sounds like some recruits are not shying away from him.

I think we take care of business this weekend and play well against Alabama. Remember, we were tied with them last year at halftime at Bama and they had a better team. Still probably no shot at beating them, but you never know. South Carolina will be tough too, but possible. The rest of the games will be a disappointment if we do not win them.

Before tonight, he was averaging 334.7 yard/game and had 10 TDs and 3 Ints. He was sixth in YPG, and tied for first with the 10 TDs (with Barkley).

Tonight he has only 227 yards (so far), no TDs and 3 Ints.

Thanks for the post!!! This actually makes me feel a little better. Seriously, I was pissed last night, but it helps to know that this was not a fluke for them. Love Dooley's consistent theme: playing time decisions are "performance based", as he said when Lane fumbled and was promptly and correctly, yanked. Watson looks better than anyone I've seen since Hardesty: decisive with some moves.

Great post!! I couldn't agree more. Glad to see him yank Palarady too. He has never impressed me since he's been on the hill. Of course, he don't really have to impress me, but glad to see CDD is quick to yank him if he is struggling. He just can't seem to get it together.

Also, Watson showed me something last Saturday. Yes, it was against GS, but he showed he will hit a hole hard and fast; and he's got some speed when he's through the hole. He reminded me of Charlie Garner.

I am so sick of reading this on this site. We have no idea whether Dooley can coach. Our talent level the last two years was like Georgia Tech in 1980. A few years later they were really good. If UT "fans" would shut up their pie hole until the Vols have time to recover from the great depression, we might get over it quicker.
