Just Saying
I know I agreed to not respond to this poop face, but I couldn't let this slide. The Urban dictionary defines "Just Saying" thusly: A phrase used to indicate that we refuse to defend a claim we've made---in other words, that we refuse to offer reasons that what we've said is true. Now, doesn't that describe seven teeth to a T?
Does anyone know for a fact that Golden was on scholarship?
Coach Butch on 104.5 Nashville this morning was asked about the SEC Network and it's impact on recruiting. Coach said the the Vols recruited on a national basis and having the network would allow families, who couldn't make to the games, an opportunity to watch the Vols every week. Good point Coach..

It really is a waste of time. First off you'll never get truthful answers from any of em, and secondly you'll never convince em how wrong they are.

These disgruntled employees (fans/alumni in this case) are only interested in disruption and bitterness. Nothing constructive ever echoes from their grille, and if not removed are determined to undermine the harmony of the fan base as well as the department infrastructure. How can anybody not see straight through their shallow personalities?? Oh well, I noticed UT committed another quality athlete to the 2014 class. This makes 12 commits with 2 for the 2015 class, totaling 14 commits since Butch Jones took over. What can anyone say but "WOW"!! The man is recruiting his arse off, and IMO may already be underpaid without coaching one game yet..GBO!!

Yessiree! Good one BB. I know you hear things coming out of Knoxville as well as I and everything I'm hearing is music to my ears. A friend of mine has a nephew on this team and the reports are all positive and encouraging.
Should I dignify this with a response? Naw........

Right there with you BB. I'm walking around with a big orange smile on my face nowadays! We supported our team because we're fans even though there were signs of concern. I see no such signs under Coach Butch and it's full steam ahead as far as I'm concerned. I'm excited about what I see and laugh at the pitiful attempts from the trolls to diminish it.

in response to orangecountyvols: PCOrange, You're correct my friend. Same thing was done with TBA. We know the record crowd was over 109,000 with the Gators. I missed that one, but was there for the 1998 game, over 108,000. This thing about 'largest stadium' is kinda' silly. If a school has the seats but don't fill them, it's pretty obvious it's a bit of an ego thing. For many years, Va Tech, for instance was in the top 10, selling out and yet their capacity was 'only' 60,000 or so. It's all about winning, actually. Yeah OC I do realize that, but I'm intrigued at the idiocy of these losers. Take rolltidejoe for example. Most people live in a house, condo or apartment. I realize we're talking about an alabubba so that could very well mean a wooden shack or tent. Anyway, most people have neighbors and from time to time may get together socially. So, here's joe yuking it up with his male neighbors and makes the mistake of telling them he likes to troll on GoVols for the purpose of jerking fans around. With no reply, they simply look at joe and then, amongst themselves, collectively wonder what kind of idiot is this? My point is people like joe don't realize that what they're doing isn't normal.

Good grief joe settle down; don't have a coronary for Pete's sake. We just find it interesting, and rather amusing, that you would devote so much of your time on a Vol web site. in response to SevenT: The last time I was in needless stadium was two seasons ago for the Kentucky game. I happened to have some connections so I scored very good seats right in the middle of the Vol people. I of course was wearing Blue. One of the Vol fans kept asking me: "How did you get these tickets" "You are not supposed to sit in this section" "Did you buy them from a scalper" etc. etc. I finally got tired of her big nosed questions so I turned to her and her husband and said. You know if the stupid Vol people were not completely ignorant about football and fired Fulmer this stadium would not be half filled with people in Wildcat Blue and the other 1/3 of the stadium would not be empty. The moral of the story is of course the Vol fans are completely delusional. They like to think they can be Alabama, LSU or Tx A & M if they build enough seats. Unfortunately they stink so nobody will fork out the Cash to go to the games. Just Saying

in response to FanNotSheep: First thing you have to have is excitement. Jones seems to have the Bruce Pearl charisma that generates excitement in the fan base and with the recruits. Next you need players as good as Bama's, Florida's and Georgia's. Looks like Jones can get those type of guys, and hopefully within the rules. Then you have to be able to coach. We will see, but the track record is there and the guy just looks and acts like a football guy, not a lawyer.Thank goodness! Finally and maybe most importantly, you got to have patience. The upcoming season is going to be brutal. No one is going to come in and wave a magic wand that produces instant wins. The team has only one area of strength and it is the O-line. Problem is, no experience at QB or receiver and no Herschel Walkers in the backfield. Worse news is that by the time those positions start to improve the O-line will be decimated by graduation. So be patient fans. Four coaches in 5 years can't become 5 coaches in 7 or 8 years. Got to give this guy 4 years to build it the right way.

Very good points. Word is that out of the 30 allowed scholarships available, half of the commits have been made either officially or unofficially. I suspect Coach Butch will turn his attention to defensive linemen, etc. He's certainly making it exciting!

Anybody who thinks immediate playing time ISN'T a factor and ISN'T being used as a selling point really doesn't understand recruiting. Of course it's being used as a selling point. If Butch was golfing, would he leave his driver in the bag? Immediate playing time is a good club. Trust me, he's using it. On another note, Florida has had 3 great recruiting classes the past 3 years, and this one is looking good as well (ask me about it again in August, when classes are actually shaping up). I seriously doubt your current 11(?) man recruiting class is causing any sleepless nights in Gainesville.

Sorry, Smoky's gotta stick his nose in here. Here's the thing you and your fellow retards don't get, won't get and will never ever understand. I'm gonna type slowly so pay close attention. Ready? Look at me when I'm talking to you. We didn't hire Dooley. Actualy, we had no involvement in the hiring process at all. No one from the University of Tennessee contacted any of us to ask our opinion. We didn't have a choice or a say into any of the decisions that were made concerning UT athletics. Once Dooley was announced as the next head football coach, we got behind him and supported him. Why? Because he was our coach, like him or not. So, we did just that. We weren't duped. Most of the really smart fans on here saw early on certain things that just didn't smell right, but continued to support the efforts of coach. Fast forward to the present. Now we have Coach Butch. He brings a lot to the table and up to this point, it all smells good. We're gonna support Coach Butch, too and unlike you, we'll go to the games and wear our Orange with pride. I wear more Orange than anything else. So, just keep on bustin our chops if it makes you feel good. You're not a fan and you continue to prove that.
Well I suppose I was a little over the top. Ok, a lot over the top. Bad bubba! Gawd I hate apologizing to trolls. Sorry, I'll do better.

I was born in Memphis and come from a family full of UT fans and alum. Yes you are right, unfortunately the Fulmer years are over, but let me tell you one thing the bleeding has just begun and bleeding will continue for a much longer time than you think. Remember after Notre Dame fired Lou Holtz because the University wanted a change? It took almost 20 years and a ton of different coaches for them to get back to anywhere near where the were under Holtz. The same thing will happen at UT, and there is a good possiblility UT will never be back in our lifetime because there is not enough talent in the state of Tennessee to field a roster. Fulmer managed to recruit Nationally which is what Tennessee must do to be competitive. Hope you enjoy UT losing, but I sure don't. Just Saying is an expression that means you don't want to start an argument because your opinion is not going to be swayed.

You've just been had seven teeth. I think you're wrong on your wishful prediction on Volunteer football. To compare this program with Notre Dame is foolish in my opinion. Let's see, where to start? I guess I should say thanks for taking such interest in me. I have a job. Let's see wut else? Why do you have an interest in UT at all and what does Fulmer have to do with anything? Times change and people come and go. It's really nothing more than a natural progression of things, but you seem to be stuck in the past and you can't seem to give it up. So, continue living in the past. You didn't answer the question about your interest in other SEC schools and their web sites. Why do you always use the term 'just saying'? Does this mean that you're not sure about what you're saying?

As for D'rick I dont have any sympathy for him as he did himself in with bad decisions of a larger magnitude than TB---how dumb do you have to be to trade in receiving passes from Bray at Tenn and getting national attention to getting no attention at a small school.

are you such a simpleton to think Tyler Bray solely wins games or loses games himself and the rest of the team has no part in the outcomes?????? Some of you folks are over the top in your hate. Bray slipped plum to the bottom of the draft and I hardly think the posters on GV are responsible.
in response to BIVOLAR_BEARE: There was a rumor that Tyler and Da'Rick walked off the field after the Kentucky game in 2011, and told their teammates they were glad UT wasn't bowl eligible because they didn't want to play in the MCB again.

And the word gets out. In Bray's defence, Dooley didn't do him any favors. He would have been a much better person and stood a better chance under Coach Butch in my opinion.

That was funny. Cute really. "Yuk at my team!". Power Running Back at that. Emphasis on the Power. Funny, funny, funny.
Your homosexuality betrays you.
in response to CCLC: Attention ivyvol: TLDR. I'm sure Lane didn't either. Gosh what is going on in here? UT’s schedule looks particularly brutal. The Vols could be playing five top-10 teams in 42 days. I guess we’ll see how Jancek earns the big bucks but please can't everyone stop the AA platitudes and focus on getting prepared for a tough season. Lane sorry you are unprepared for college football, college discipline, and life in the big league. Seeya. NEXT!

Gosh Rover, thanks for your unhelpful and unsolicited input. You love the Vols.

I know and agree with you. For years, I have wanted one of these trolls to explain why on earth he would gladly subject himself to all this ridicule. It absolutely confounds me why ANY man would do this. Honestly, it intrigues me that a man would get his kicks by being slapped around. I'd really like to hear from one of these trolls and explain it. I cannot imagine anybody lowering themselves in such a way as this.
in response to SevenT: Peyton should stick with resurrecting his career in Denver and selling cars on TV commercials because nobody is going to buy any of this jazz. Jones was about 5th on the Vol wish list behind Chuckie and Charlie Strong and everyone who follows this program knows this is a dud/thud hire just like Dooley and Kiffin were duds. Since Fulmer is gone the program has fallen apart, Just Saying

Hey duffus, I really don't recall hitting the butt kicker button, but I reckon it's possible. Anyway, I have to hit the hay for the evening because I HAVE A JOB TO GO TO which is something I doubt seriously you're bothered with. Probably one of those 47 million on food stamps. So, any further poop you have for me will have to wait so have at it suga-britches.
in response to SevenT: VolBurro and Vol 43 I would be willing to bet the farm that both of you mental lightweights were loving the ridiculous comments from UT's coach when Lane Kiffin was running his mouth. I have a question, which one of you two burned the mattresses when Lane bolted for USC?

You're funny cc. You must have heard your boy Jimmy showing his butt on the radio then you searched GoVols to see if anyone picked up on the piece. So, now you feel it's your duty to come on here and straighten us out. Good boy.
Professional, huh? Professional jerk, that is. He proved that two seasons ago at Neyland. I predict Jimmy's mouth is gonna get him in a bunch of trouble before it's over
