Bruce Pearl - He's headed to Indiana. UT was out coached and out played. Embarrassing. This is a 500 team in the ACC. Over rated, again!

Now, let the tournament begin. Expect to see defense lady Vols. You haven't yet.

Dad-gum-it. Someone else will just have to step it up. My rally cap is already on. Go Vols!

What a joke. You are better off playing half a$$ all season and just focusing on the tournament.
UT and CBP got screwed. Now go take it out on some teams and get some!

This tournament will go a long way to prove if Tennessee is good in just the "down" years or if they are a true basketball school. If UT goes out,
which Butler will take care of, then UT will need to start from scratch regarding any credit as a program. This is the worst seeding UT could have received. UT should have been in the midwest.
Butler is the last team anyone wants to play.

Ten years from now. It makes you wonder what college football will be like. It has changed so much in the last twenty. Rule changes alone has taken so much away from the grit and grind, the mud and the blood. Now it is corporate and commercial, hyped and glorified. The older I get, the more Div II and Div III I watch. I miss the days of old. Sometimes you come to a point that you were meant to be in an era. Once it has passed by, maybe it's time to let it go. It is sad knowing that one day every logo will be on every yard marker. I've seenmy share of college football. Now it is a semi-pro NFL league that is marketed to nonsense. You cannot keep up with the coaching changes. It is not just the schools or the players. The coaches jump around like jumping beans. No loyalty or passion can be found in college football, just a desire to wear a logo on your jersey on Sunday afternoons. So much for school spirit. So much for the color of jersey you wear. So much of not embarrassing yourself or your family. Just go do whatever you want and hope not to get caught. Is you are really good, you might run an extra lap. Maybe not that if your family is connected. Just get yours and the hell with everyone else. This starts in the 5 and 6 year leagues and is encouraged from that point forward.
I'll see you on a Saturday afternoon in a staduim that holds 15,000 at best with players excited about the game and have a desire to win. And win for their school. It is nice to see the players that you pull for actually spend four years in college and graduate. It is nice to see them move on and contribute to society. Become teachers, doctors, engineers. You will not see them on Sunday. You will not see a logo on their uniform.
They are content to have just played the game.
I am happy I lived when college football was college football and not an over-hyped circus glammored by corporate sponsors and kids trying to break the law and get by with it. No. I am happy I saw the game I grew up with. I have no regrets missing games ten years from now. I only have a regret my grandchildren did not know the game I once knew.
