On Opening reviews are mixed after first scrimmage

Ok Mike, you got me. I read the first 2 and 1/2 paragraphs before I scrolled up to check the date. I knew you couldn't be talking about OUR #5, not today. This is just good news for Sunday, Chris will be overdue and when he breaks out, he will light it up and I think we will need that to beat Butler.

Granted Howell is cold as ice shooting, but he plays pretty good defense and handles the ball well, passing and getting assists. I could see Pearl using him late in games if we have a lead and need to play D and run some clock.

ect1983 yesterday @ 10:26 a.m. says - "you make statements that are figments of your juvenile imagination, to wit: I never said Dickey was my hero---where did that come from ?" I noticed that in this same thread at March 19, 3:33p.m. ect1983 said "Dickey---like him or not, the best "COACH" in the true sense of the word we ever had since Neyland.". While you did not use the term "hero" per se, when you described Coach Dickey as the best "COACH" since Neyland, I don't think it is fair to claim that this was a “figment of the other poster's juvenile imagination" based what you had stated earlier. I noticed you used an old lawyer trick by focusing on the word "hero", thus making argument about semantics rather than the substance. This allows you to avoid addressing the point made that the two coaches being compared did have the exact same bowl record over the same number of years. You defined the standard and judged it to be "fair at best" in Fulmer's case, but judge Dickey as the best COACH since Neyland on the exact same bowl record. Bias and hypocrisy? Looks that way to me, JMO. Good post LargeO!

Words of wisdom from Touchdumb?? to "our" Players -

"Posted by TouchdownTN on November 5, 2007 at 10:52 p.m. (Suggest removal)
Put this on your bullitin board. YOU DO NOT HAVE A CHANCE OF EVEN SLOWING DOWN THE HOGS. You are an embarrassment to the University of Tennessee.
Now get out there and fight instead of rolling over like you did against Florida and Alabama. And I do not want to see any QUITERS either. You bunch of LOSERS!"

I ask you, how could this vile crap come from any one who bleeds orange like those of us who pull for this team win or lose good or bad. Fair weather fans make me ill and this guy is the king of the losers and loss lovers. I would rather hear this from a Gator or Alabama FAN than a flaming poser like Touchdumb**
