One area I don't think we'll have any question marks in is the defensive backfield. Should be the best in the SEC. Hopefully the rest of the "D" can step it up from last year and post better stats...especially right out of the gate. If the "O" line can run block as well as they pass block, we'll have some chances to open some eyes this year.

What a load of crap! Pearl led the Vols to record victories, record home winning streak, first SEC title in 41 years! Gillespie doesn't deserve to share this award with Bruce!

Phil Fulmer is a class act and by far, the best thing that has happened to the University of Tennessee football program since General Neyland himself! John Adams is a typical media writer that knows if he can find an ounce of negativity and stir the pot, the story will sell newspapers.

I challenge anyone posting on this site to take a group of 100+ 18 year olds, throw them in a college environment and see if you can keep every one of them on the straight and narrow! It won't happen. Look across the country...it's happening to countless schools. Is it the coach that is responsible? I think not. Wow...could it be parents that might be responsible for not instilling good values and responsibilities in their children?

These kids are faced with many challenges and way too much peer pressure. They constantly have to make decisions to party or not party, drink or not drink, steal or not steal. Some make good decisions and others do not. Do we throw them to the wolves or do we try to help them learn from their mistakes and make better decisions in the future.

Seems many of you want to roast Fulmer for helping these kids.

Great response Coach Fulmer!!
Adams...go back to the bayou where you belong!!

Go Vols!!!

Let UconnFan enjoy the moment. We played pitiful and deserved to lose. It's water under the bridge and we'll grow from it. I just hope the stupid NCAA selection committee pairs UConn and Tenn opposite so we can put this crap to rest! There's not much I enjoy more than whipping Geno!!

The bottom line the last two games is that no one stepped up to help Parker. Candice had two pretty solid games, but the other girls that have been performing well, didn't come through. They'll be fine, but they have to figure out how to play 60 minutes and get good even contribution from everyone.

Also, UconnFan enjoy our loss just like we do when you get beat. By the way, Rutgers will probably be #1, not you.

Go Lady Vols!!

I wouldn't be surprised to see a rematch of these two teams in the National Championship. You could argue that each team won 1/2 of the game tonight. The Lady Vols have to step it up and shoot better from the field if they expect to repeat. We'll see how they respond against LSU.

Great game! Great Win!!

Everyone wants to grade the recruiting classes coming in the door. The true grade is in how well they progress and the results they achieve. You want to bash this group of recruits as weak based on some so-called "experts" rating them. What are you going to do if this group has a huge impact on winning a NC in a couple years? You're going to be hypocrites that's what. You're going to be happier than a pig in slop and praising these young men. You're going to forget that a couple years earlier you said it was the worst recruiting class in many years.

Get over it folks! Either you support the program with a team approach or you don't. You're either a true Tennessee Vol Fan or you're just miserable and want to find anything negative possible that you can complain about. You're not going to build a winning team by telling the players they are mediocre.

Be positive! Be a true VOL!
