Gotta go guys, its why we got passed over in the Outback.
And please, call it the Peach.
Wow, I never thought about it, but Fulmer actually is perfect for Notre Dame. He's a great coach, but more importantly he can recruit nationwide. Tennessee is a lot like Notre Dame. It is one of the most storied in College Football, and it has to draw talent nationally. Fulmer knows how to manage all of that. What killed him was the rigors of an SEC schedule, but that won't be an issue over there.
Very interesting.
This is a reminder that the last bunch of coaches were just as tough as the current bunch.
I'll be there to cheer on UT, but the University promised us we would never have to play a night game in November ever again. ESPN is ruining it for us.
Oh well, I'll tough it out, but I'm not going to pass on my right to whine and complain a bit.
Didn't the University promise that we'd never play a night game in November after that last Kentucky loss in the 80's?

Of course I want it now. I want to win. Now. What's wrong with that? We're Tennessee. We're the most prestigious team in the SEC East, one of the winningest programs in the history of football. We are among the greatest in every aspect of the sport. Why should I be happy when we went out there and beat ourselves. We should have won that game. We didn't, so I'm disappointed. Don't you dare count me in with the legions of the miserable just because I'm not content with a high point in mediocrity.
We lost, they didn't beat us, which only makes it worse. And, as I said before, the only way to move on is to focus on and win the next one.
I'm a Vol fan. Went to my first game when I was 3. I don't go into any games expecting to lose. Any game lost is a disappointment. We should have won. The only reason we lost is because we beat ourselves. If we hadn't been doing that all year we'd be undefeated or only have one loss.
I'm not satisfied, there are no moral victories. This sucks, the only way to make it better is to win the next one.
Hardesty is tempting to the casual observer, but Eric Berry's new role this year makes offenses simply have to avoid whatever 15 yard radius surrounds him. He doesn't get the big time picks or the highlight reel tackles anymore, but his presence changes the game. How often do you see receivers simply drop the ball because they know a safety is coming? We saw that Saturday.
Wow.
Mostly agree, but I will say that the coaches were right not to call a timeout with 7 seconds to go. Waiting was the right call. There's no way to get downfield fast enough to take a shot, so it's better to take the points and get in the locker room.
It is very similar
You know what's awesome? How Florida fans aren't going to show up here and blow this way out of proportion.
in response to AustinTX_Vol: Before Texas was a state I think you meant, but you should try living in the heart of Longhorn country. I fight this battle on a near daily basis. All they ever come with is "when was your last National title?" Well 1998 actually. Whats funny is most of the ones who play that card weren't even a thought in their parent's eyes last time Texas won a NC prior to 2005.

And no, I don't mean to diminish the accomplishments of Texas, they are clearly the dominant program in a very strong football state. I have a lot of respect for their tradition, its just that we were UT first by a long shot.

No, I definitely mean country.
Tennessee was UT before Texas was a country.
