This will most likely be Phil's last year at UT. His career is on life support. Look how bad it got for him last year with the media and fans, and that was a 10 win season.

Hmm...2005 had quite a few arrests in the offseason. Looks to me like we are in for a 7 or less win season. New QB, new OC and staff, tough schedule. I seriously doubt he will be able to survive it.

On Coach's first job is as educator, mentor

Hate to say it, but UT will not finish in the top 20 for recruiting in all the major rankings this year. Too much change in the coaching staff, and we weren't doing anything even before the coaching changes were announced.

On Vols will have to wait to add high school stars

UT needs to think outside the box on these new hires. I am sick of the old orange guard. This offense is tired. It demands perfect execution by NFL caliber players. We do not have the same players of the 90s. This recruiting class with be lower 20s in ranking....Time for a change in mindset or we will be replacing the ENTIRE coaching staff in 3 year.

On Taylor couldn't wait for Fulmer

I have absolutely no faith in this coaching staff to motivate this team to beat Wisconsin. This, of course, is based on our bowl performances of the last 10 years. Pathetic.

Last year's bowl was VERY important to the overall success of the season and UT fell flat. I believe it will happen again. Therefore, NOTHING was accomplished this year. We were VERY lucky to even play for the SEC. An opportunity like that doesn't come around very often. Especially, with UF and UGA on upward trends.

Recruiting looks to be a very subpar year already. Another bowl loss definitely won't help!

On Strange: Bowl win erases bad taste in UT's mouth

I don't think we need to go through the numbers again (fulmer's abyssmal bowl record, record against ranked, or top 10 opponents). Everyone already knows them.

My question is what was accomplished this year? No one can argue against the fact that we LUCKED into the championship game in the first place. That game was a defining moment. Was Fulmer going to take a step forward and prove fans like me wrong or was he and UT going to 'STAY THE COURSE' of mediocrity. He once again proved me right. We are officially the Arkansas of the East and will be until he is gone.

We will FINISH with 9 wins (his record says that we will lose yet another bowl) just like last year. So, again, what was accomplished? We were lucky to beat SC, Vandy and UK. I would have rather lost those games and been on the hunt for a new coach and some excitement for next year.

Like I said 4 years ago, UT will not win another title of any kind with Fulmer at the helm

Hey guys, check this article out:

I still see no way UT lets Fulmer go this year. He is too stubborn to step down, and the athletic department won't see a dip in profits this year. As I have said before it takes two horrible years back to back before it affects the bottom line. And as we all know that is all that really matters here!

On Vols get back to work

Posted on September 17 at 7:31 a.m.

I am sure there won't be a sell out this weekend. However, I do believe there will be at least 90,000 at the stadium. This is unfortunate.

I will not be there, but my ticket was purchased a long time ago. So, the university really isn't losing any money. I think it will take 2 horrible seasons in a row before UT sees a hit to their bottom line. I don't think there is anyway that Fulmer gets fired this year.

On Adams: UT not keeping pace with Florida

Posted on September 16 at 10:02 p.m.

"We got our butts whipped on the line of scrimmage," Fulmer said. "I do believe in this team and this staff. We'll get it fixed. We're talented enough to win the rest of our football games."

So what will the Fulmer lovers say when we don't win the rest of our games? Even Fulmer knows the team is talented enough to win the next 9 games. I don't think anyone truly believes we will. So what will be the excuse when we don't??? Preperation, Execution? HMMM....that is what coaching is all about!!!!!!!!!!

Has anyone been able to listen to the Fulmer comments on utsports.com? Looks like it is being hit hard. Still LOADING for me.
