Those in the stands (or not in the stands) don't influence change as much as the decision by networks to air a UT game or the major donors that collectively give 90% of the overall support/budget to the program. "Us" normal fans who want a winning product on the field are the masses that support the team, but don't think for a minute that we are the major influencers...unless you write checks with at least six 0's at the end of a number you are a minor factor.
If Coach Fulmer stays it's because the magor sponsors have spoken, if he is gone, it is for the same reason. The major sponsors will dictate the outcome of this battle, our opinion does not influence anyone...not even the person reading this blog! I will support the decision of the money almighty...

We let the yunguns play (freshmen) and now they are "near men." 2008 is looking pretty. Berry is a nasty beast on the field. I hope his head and shoulder are made of steel because he uses them both to perfection. He does not tackle, he runs through people with an angry attitude. Three things to note for 2008. First we will get a quality OFC that will work as a magnet to recruits. Second, we will rise in the recruiting battles with many top athletes and some former Alabama, South Car, FL, and GA recruits. Third, we will be back in the SEC Championship in 08 with an undefeated record. All signs point to a great 08! Enjoy the year and make your BCS plans early...we will not be sending any tickets back this year!

Nashville news was all about Bobby Johnson (Vandy) going to Duke and being paid $2 million versus his $800k salary. Surely Cut is worth that or more? He could possibly end up making more than Fulmer. Why would he not go?

3rd time in the SEC Championship with LSU is the charm...

The offense revolves around the QB and the Tennessee players trust and believe in Eric. He has been a student of the game and during his senior year it has paid off. Every team respects him and realize that he will be a solid, mistake free, non-risk taking leader. Opponents have no choice but to respect Eric Ainge and the big uglies up front that protect him...

Advice: whenever you read one of some of the frequent posters one word summaries, ignore them. Don't acknowledge with any type of feedback or response as this is their bait and what they are hoping for. If we bottle our urge to respond they will soon grow tired of trying to pick a fight and return to their other activities. By giving them shout-outs we are feeding their hunger for confrontation...just a thought.

I just confirmed my reservations in Atlanta for Dec. 1. I look forward to celebrating an SEC Championship in the Dome. I was there in 98 and ordered a pizza at 2 in the morning. It was nearly 4 before it was delivered...I was still wired for sound!

This is the type of victory that we will talk about for years. Great game plan, superior execution, solid coaching, excellent crowd support. Arkansas, critics, doubters and nonbelievers were humbled today! I hope the stands were filled with recruits. Slaughter a fattned hog and fill the glasses as Vol fans will celebrate this evening.

For a true fan of UT this is a sad day. A sad day indeed. If you did not tear up as Coach Fulmer reflected on his years and major victories you were not listening! Here is a twist, what if in a strange twist of fate, Hamilton is fired for a bad decison in a contract extension and the University in order to save millions, hires Fulmer to be the AD?
On Fulmer's statement
