Ok, here's a scheme...run the ball with Hardesty and Creer, keep Jones involved, and throw play action to Warren. How's that for simplicity and creating matchups?

Obviously, Auburn brass who wanted to run Tuberville out of town a few years ago still run the program. Tuberville's quote just yesterday is an indication to me that he was forced to make the cut.

As bad as we've been, this season is not over. It is over if we continue to play like we have. We have the athletes. We just need to execute...bottom line. Players and coaches need to step up and lead, or get out of the way for the next person to try. The very limited touches by Warren and Creer continue to baffle me. Last game...we only had 50 snaps and just couldn't get them in the game or get the ball to them. How about this...put them in the game and hand the ball or pass the ball to them. Also, the lack of play action passes puzzles me. Fake the ball to Creer, roll out and pass to Warren pulling across the middle. There, FREE PLAY, and you don't even have to pay me millions.

Not a fan of what is going on now in Knoxville, but on this situation, if Fulmer didn't do anything, he'd be criticized for not running a tight ship or enforcing rules.

If there is this much difficulty in naming Stevens over Crompton that you have to look at the tape, then we're in REAL trouble. Start Jones then. The West VA, and old Fl. State models seem to work pretty well.
On Fulmer appears to be a film buff; QB will be announced Friday

Yes, but I'd take a big double helping of their mashed potatoes right now...better than the cow patties we've been serving up!

Crompton may be a great practice player and maybe at some point given a shot again, but some players can't make the transition from one level to the next. Heath Shuler, a GREAT college QB couldn't handle the mental part of the pro's, though he had the tools. NO BRAINER for Nick to start.
IF in fact, the coaches know something we don't w/ BJ and Nick, then the other NO BRAINER of the season is G-Gun. I forget the qb's name, but run the offense that Florida State ran when they had Warwick Dunn. Shotgun, hand off, have the qb run, or throw it every now and then. Nobody else in the SEC runs this offense, and I think it would be hard for other teams to prepare for!

We couldn't get one first down to win the game...with numerous opportunities against Auburn. I'm hoping for a big win, but it's hard to turn around a battleship in a duck pond. Too many leaks in the dam....AND I'm an optimist...or was until last week.

I think that we have the talent we need to compete for the SEC ring. The bottom line is that parody has hit the SEC and everyone has upgraded their coach, where we used to just out talent people, now we have to win based on coaching, exploiting matchups, and discipline. Look at Bama. You can't say that Bama, though their recruiting has taken off under Saban, that they are our talenting everyone. They played disciplined football and wiped up the floor w/ Ga and Clemson. And I can't stand BAMA. Teams are winning with less talent which are well coached (Vandy, Ole Miss, Wake, etc)I would have to put us in the category of teams that have talent, recruit well, but can't execute on the field (Clemson, FSU, Michigan, Auburn-this year). Say what you will about Cutcliff, but he had our offense much more disciplined last 2 years. And, wouldn't it be ironic if Cutcliff's leaving ultimately leads to Fulmer being gone, and he gets the Vol head spot. That would be an easy transition, and I think would work.
