Maze looks like a Gym rat. A guy set on mastering his trade. Basketball at this level is tough and it's not for wimps. But to call the guy a thug or even Tyreke Evans the same is really distasteful. Some of you have allowed the Media to brain wash you. Don't believe everything they tell you and stop judging people based on how they appear. Many of you were Hippies at one time and were pretty much unaccepted by the establishment. How quickly one forgets.

As much as we like to bring up the 12-7 record over the Tigers keep in mind that during the 80's Devoe pretty much avoided the Tigers who were far better on paper than the Vols. I stress on paper. Now that the series is renewed and UT is recruiting Blue chippers perhaps we should let it be decided on the court. And rckydx I love both teams and when I lived in Ktown I loved to hear of Memphis High schoolers considering UT, although the Vols always had a tough time getting them. That's why the recruitment of McDonald is so crucial, but my sources say he probably will head to UNC, but there is still time for him to change his mind.

Has anyone considered Josh Tabb playing some back up point? ...hmmmm He's pretty much a defensive guy so he's not always looking for a shot.

No question the Memphis game two season's ago. He was in a zone. The Vols will surely miss him next season; but I believe JuJuan Smith had a great career also(especially the last two) with UT.

bluevol you know it is getting kinda old with the bickering going on btw east and west tenn. I love both teams and was proud to see them have Historic seasons. Both teams have recruited acceptionally well although Memphis on paper could end up with the best class Nationally and so it makes for an intriguing match up next season. But God, I would like to see it come to a rest.

rckydx - at the rate they are recruiting and if Simpkins and Garcia make eligibility they may have the best signing class on paper comparable to Michigan's Fab 5. The final piece is if they get Ebanks and chances are looking positive since he is buds with Witherspoon and Evans. Have to give Coach Cal credit for going out and rebuilding this team so quickly. On the flip side for all the Memphis fans posting here and I love both these teams can we chill for minute on the negative comments as most Vol fans are dealing with the latest concerning Lofton.
