Written on Andrew Gribble: Dooley minimized risk with signing class :

I don't know who could've done a better job recruiting for Tennessee this year. Coach Dooley is building depth and talent all at the same time. If he can continually recruit Top 15 classes with credible and responsible young men, Tennessee will be very relevant. Other SEC teams will have higher-rated classes, but the chances of qualifying and staying are rarer. I think Bama, Burn, Gawga, LSU had good classes. I think when we all look back at these classes, the Vols will be ranked right with them. Stay classy and GO VOLS!!!!!

I coach for a team that played against Carmichael. Let me tell you...he is the real deal. An incredible athlete. I'm not sure about his grades. Also, he attended (I think) three different high schools. But what a talent!

Could this be Riggs,Jr.? I don't know about his grades, either. But, you are so true about the talent.

Written on GVX247: Tennessee expressing interest in Carmichael :

I'm sorry but who the hell is Willie Carmichael?

He may just be the kick/punt returner we have lacked for the last several years. Unbelievable speed and vision. I would say that Crowder and Downs would agree. They saw him run past their Tennessee High teammates time and time again. He had over 200 yards rushing and scored 5 touchdowns in that game. He is a sleeper. And, GO VOLS!!!!

Written on GVX247: Another safety commits to Vols :

William Carmichael, quarterback for Greeneville. Can also play running back and defensive back. Runs track as well. Hasn't got alot of attention from division one schools. Kind of like a Devron Young. I suspect he may get an offer if we don't fill up all the slots.

I don't post very often. I have posted about Carmichael a few times. He is a really good looking athlete. Ask Mack Crowder how many times he ran by all his Tennessee High teammates. When Tennessee High and Greenville played, Carmichael was the best athlete/player on the field, hands down. I was hoping Dooley would take a look at him. GO VOLS!!!!

Written on Did Vols do enough to impress OL Marcus Jackson?:

in response to Pullingguard:

OL seems to be going in right direction with lot of help coming from recruiting class, question has to be....Does Crowder bring enough to this class to warrent scholarship?? Lot of talent out there and with committments, UT can afford to be selective in whom they take... Defintely need more DL linemen, would be disappointed if they did not sign at least 5/6 good DL...

The kid they need to be looking at at the school(Tennessee High)that Crowder goes to is their kicker! The kicker is the best thing about the team!

I am a big Vol fan, so I'm not going to talk poorly about any of the players that play for the Vols! That being said, all of the S. Carolina fans that were sitting around me were asking who was the backup QB! That was after Bray settled in after the pick six. They were a little worried about the outcome until deep into the 4th quarter! They were talking about how hard the Vols played and were amazed at how many young players made contributions! One fan said that he was glad that they beat the Vols while they could. In his words, the Vols future looks bright! I think most of us fans realized there would be growing pains this year, so we have to ride the storm out. GO VOLS!!!!!

- 5% TN fans who didn't follow TN basketball before Bruce Pearl (arguably most TN BB fans) and don't think his accomplishments are all that great. I've got a few names and records you might want to look up: Wade Houston, Kevin O'Neil, Jerry Green, Buzz Peterson.

I make the trip to the South Carolina game every other season! The only reason there stadium hasn't looked empty is because Vol fans are celebrating owning their house. I didn't make it year before last because my dad was ill! He passed a few days later. That would've been the first time in a very long time that you would've seen their stadium still full of gamecock fans! I will be going this year, again! • Manning’s 308 passing yards give him his 10th career 4,000-plus-yard passing season, extending his NFL record. The quarterback’s four touchdown passes Thursday mark the fifth 30+-touchdown season of his career and his 21st 4+-touchdown game, tying Dan Marino for the second-most in NFL history (22, Brett Favre is record).

• In addition, Manning led the Colts on a game-winning drive in the fourth quarter or overtime for the 43rd time in his career and the seventh time this season.

Something RobL can discuss at the Panther meeting this weekend.

Typical dumb arse gater troll! Yes, Lil' Timmy lost the SECCG because he could not pass them back into the game. When he had a chance to show he could make a meaningful throw, he threw it right to a bama DB. I might add, it was about 5yds. underthrown. Yes, Lil' Timmy cried a river and pissed himself on national TV. ON NATIONAL TV! That is embarrassing. Utah did beat alabama last year. florida was supposed to be stacked with All-SEC players on their third string. Embarrassing is what little Meyer could do for them. alabama with less talent, skinned the gaters alive. When the gaters get blasted by Cincinnati, don't come on here crying about it. I think college football fans everywhere are tired of seeing crying gaters. Geez grow up down there in swamp land. Act like you are not 3. I guess that is why they call their stadium the swamp, they can't keep it dry from all the gater players, coaches and fans crying all the time. GO VOLS!!!

Yeah your right, Tennessee got better every week as the season went on, we all saw that against Mississippi losing 42-17 that and then the next week struggling against Vanderbilt and then needing OT to beat Kentucky. Once again, thanks for showing how far the program has fallen. Your celebrating a 10 point loss and a 2 point loss and acted like beating Kentucky in OT was a huge win getting to 7-5 and grabbing that new years eve bowl in Atlanta all while "attempting" to bash a program who Tennessee has not beat since 2004 and in a loss has to have the unfortunate seeding of going to the Sugar Bowl at 12-1. lol! (thinking UT fan would give anything for that bowl right now)

But keep on celebrating Alabama's glory, maybe one day again you as a Vol fan can live through your own team and not piggy back off others, that is if the greatest coaching staff in the history of man doesnt keep leaving one by one after only 1 season.

Again, as I stated before, Vol fans don't ride on another teams accomplishments. But, we all see that you are too stupid to see that. After all, they don't want you on the gator boards, that is why you are here. Dumb arse. Try to understand this in simpler terms. The Vols are on a longer winning streak than the gaters. Alabama beat yours team butts so badly, they had the whole gater nation in tears. How sad. I am glad that you have finally dried your tears. The gaters talk about how bad they missed there d-linemen in that game. Just think how bad bama would have beaten meyer if he had to start walk-ons and 3rd string MLB. You are still a joke. If meyer had this Vol team he wouldn't have won 5 games. If Lane would have coached florida, guess what, they are undefeated right now and 20 pt. favorites to win the BCS championship game. Bottom line is alabama man-handled your team, which some of them probably like it rough. This isn't an attempt to bash the gayfers, its plain to all to see. Unless, you have them gayfer blinders on. As far as the coaches leaving, you are just jealous because nobody wants any of the gayfer coaches after Saturday, theres no crying in football, theres no crying in football. So, go to your gayfer boards and cry with the rest of the lizzards. The Vols are going to have a decade of owning your azzes, and you know it. So, keep on telling yourself that grown gayfers actually didn't cry for the whole nation and recruits to see. That is weak. But, you keep pulling for your gayfers next year as they lose one game after another. They may be able to beat Vandy, but, I wouldn't count that as a done deal. Your gayfers are gonna suck next year and the next year and the next year and you know it. GO VOLS!!!

Sad when other fans have to live vicariously through another team because they forget what its like to have their own program they root for beat Florida.

Enjoy the Chicken bowl!

Spin it anyway you florida dumb arses want to. The Vols came within 12 points of taking both the gaters and bama to the ranks of defeated. As you and a lot of the other trolls posted, this gater teams 3rd string was better than the Vols' 1st string. Funny thing is, these 3rd string Vols went to the trash dump....errr.... I mean the swamp and lost by 10 pts. then went to bama and lost by 2. Bamas closest win....over the Vols by 2 pts., goes to show you what they would have done to the gaters if they would have played later in the year. Bottom line is....gaters never got better week to week and the Vols did. You know you wouldn't want to play the Vols again this year at a neutral site with neutral refs. Vol fans don't celebrate through bama eyes, we just find it hilarious that gater trolls still try to defend Cryin' Meyer and Lil' Cryer Timmy Tebow. How embarrassing for gater nation to have the two biggest cry babies in football. There's no crying in football, there's no crying in football. They both cried for the whole nation to see. Boo..Hoo. BTW, enjoy the bowl game with the next Notre Dame coach. Kelly is obviously the best choice, he still has a few more winning seasons in him, unlike Crier... I mean Meyer. You are a joke. Of course you would agree and try to console your dumb arse partner in crime, after all you are lizzard fans. Come back and talk to us when you can go undefeated once before bragging about having the best team ever assembled, psssssstttt. That is funny right there. There are only a few teams in the SEC that are bad enough to not have an undefeated season and you lizzards are right there with them. GO VOLS!!! How about Lane's statement that florida had better players and alabama has better coaching? That just about sums it up. I am glad that the Vols have a coach who knows what coaching is all about. The Lane Train just keeps gaining steam. Loved the boos coming from bama and gator fans in the Dome. He will be hearing it from the sidelines at that game annually. It will be fun watching him win in Atlanta 3 out of 4 years. He will let Georgia get there every now and then so that Richt won't get fired. GO VOLS!!!

Written on Florida's Meyer released from hospital:

After the game, there was a flash-flood warning in the Atlanta area. Imagine that. Later, it was discovered there was also a flood warning in gaynesville. Written on Adams: Kiffin perfecting his shots with Meyer as target :

Like him or not, Tebow is a good college player. I do think time will tell how the coaching at florida will aide or hurt Tebow in the future. The gator trolls say what does that have to do with college. Tebow's throwing mechanics have never been fixed. He starts his motion below his waist. He has the highest ranking passing percentage in the SEC. Those are mostly comprised of 10 yard throws or less. When he tries to go downfield, it takes him forever to get the ball out of his hands. Meyer should have worked with him on that. It is almost as if Meyer used him as his workhorse without actually helping Tebow develope into an actual QB. I do believe that Tebow is the kind of kid that will work hard to correct his mechanics. It has just set him behind in his quest to further his career. That is what Lane Kiffin is talking about. Saban has coached in the NFL. Therefore, he knows what the players need to improve on. Kiffin understands that Saban understands. Meyer just doesn't get it, nor, will the gator trolls. There are a lot of coaches around the country that could have helped Tebow evolve. Meyer was content on letting him be a workhorse. GO VOLS!!!

I just hope the Vols can hold his commitment until he has signed. Go look at his videos. He is not raw, he is just a little lean. He has been very well coached. His mechanics are great. He has a pretty strong arm that will get stronger. Tebow has the worst QB mechanics in football. I am not trying to poke at gator fans, its just the truth. Tebow starts with the ball below his waist on just about every pass. Tyler never drops the ball below his chest and has a quick release. I really hate trying to talk some sense into your numbskull, but, here it goes. Crompton leads the SEC in TD passes. Every QB in the SEC has played inferior teams, soooooooo, their QB's had the same opportunities to pad their stats like Crompton. The basic difference is they couldn't do it. At 5-4, with a chance to go 9-4(with a bowl win) would exceed most sensible peoples expectations. I predicted 8-5 before the season. We'll see how that works out. By the way, they still could end up 5-3 in the SEC, toughest conference in the nation. If, this happens, it would go down as one of the best coaching jobs, period! I think, with the ties to the NFL that Monte has, and Lane for that matter, the NFL scouts will get their intake as to which players are draftable. So, I do agree, that there are going to be a number of players drafted that would have been afterthoughts. As, for your remark on the other post you said that Fulmer will be in the College Hall of Fame. I agree. You, also stated, that the only way Kiffin gets in is to buy a ticket. The only way that is true is if he takes another NFL coaching position. If he stays at Tennessee for a long period of time, he will surely be accepted by the Hall. As far as the spikes thing, its assault, simple and true. If this happened at a bar, or in public, this would be at the very least simple assault. The SEC and meyer accept this behavior, due to the lackness of the penalty. This was worse than the Oregon running back laying out the Boise St. player. The Bronco was flapping his jaws at the Duck. The georgia kid was wrapped up and could not defend himself. What a tough guy spikes is. lol! BTW, the oregon kid has missed every game since that debacle. He was an NFL draft pick waiting to happen, yet kudos to the ducks coach for suspending him with the heavy hand. He is teaching the kid, that in society, there are consequences for bad actions.
