I live up here in Seattle, and with the middle relief having blown several saves this year and two of the last three games, I really think he'll be back. Like Mclaren says he's too versatile. The mistake I think they've made has been using as a starter. He's better suited to long relief at this point in the season. With Bedard back today though there's even less room.

I don't even want to know what that is UTByrd. Please do us all a favor and do not share its symptoms.

Here are a coupla quotes from pieces of literature that I like. Eff 'em. Look at it this way. The Orange Nation does't have far to go. Go Vols.

From Rudyard Kipling's peom "Tommy"
Then it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "Tommy, 'ow's yer soul?"
But it's "Thin red line of 'eroes" when the drums begin to roll,
The drums begin to roll, my boys, the drums begin to roll,
O it's "Thin red line of 'eroes" when the drums begin to roll

From Bill Shakespeare's "Henry V":

But when the blast of war blows in our ears,
Then imitate the action of the tiger:
Stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood.

I'm rooting for JC. I've always felt bad about what happened to Jerry Colquitt, not that it's the same situation, but he's been there and worked hard. We do need the best on the field though.

99gator. You are a great addition to these forums. It's nice to have the outside-looking-in voice of reason. It tempers some of these gloom and doomers we've got kickin' around these parts. Thanks

I really wasn't commenting on the quality of the reporting, though sometimes I do find it rather shoddy and in the case of some, vindictive. I do have problems with the editing however. The number of misspellings and usage problems is embarrassing. KNS is not alone in this. My other main source of sports information is CBSsportsline and there are plenty of these same issues there. I mean to get one of the player's names entirely wrong, particularly when his name has been plastered across all forms of media is inexcusable; though, I suppose you can't blame the author for wishful thinking. I'd like to see Dustin Colquitt be our punter after the fifth game of the season, as opposed to Britton just after a fifth.

Doesn't Dustin Colquitt play in the NFL and isn't Britton his younger, stupider brother whose services we will be without for five games?

This UT team's so much fun to watch. So many weapons. Shut Lofton down and look what happens. Memphis is a really good team no question and we dealt with them very well. They don't have that ridiculous start and the outcome is more lopsided. There are other teams out there that I think are better than them, and winning the NCAA's is so hard, but this was really excellent.

One only need go to the National headlines to see that there are problems everywhere. Things are probably never as bad as one thinks and John Adams is a jackass. While I agree, Britton Colquitt should have been more harshly punished, I'm just not willing to throw in the towel on Fulmer over this. It's like you bunch have the itchiest trigger fingers I've ever seen. You think it's bad here. Do you remember Lawrence Phillips at Nebraska, those great Barry Switzer teams at OU or those Miami teams. Our guys are Saints in comparison and I'm guessing you'd all be whistling through the graveyard if we were the defending SEC or National Champ. In the words of Sergeant Hulka in Stripes: "Lighten up Francis."

What happened to Tyler Smith? Following a game on gamecast eats a$$. Dominating a team that has dominated other teams in the conference is always a good thing.
