A loss in the Sweet 16 for a former #1 team in the country is not good enough. Poor execution, poor shot selection, bad free throw shooting. They played tight and with a lack of confidence.

Tennessee should not look for "respect" from the national media after this performance. Last night simply said, " Tennessee is over rated".

Very disappointing ending to this season. Need to lock up Pearl and go get a shooter in Hopkinsville, KY who is undecided as of right now.

I am not in the mood right now to congratulate the team on a great year. Getting to the Sweet 16 for this team is not good enough. The frustrating part is they in no way resembled the team who played intimidating in your face basketball that shot them to #1. Since the Memphis game, they played tight and lacked any confidence or swager. It seems as if expectations caught up to them.

Louisville is a good team and deserved to win. They had a lot to do with losing, but Tennessee's turnovers, missed lay-ups, poor shot selection, bad free throw shooting, etc. was just as much to blame. Honestly, the Vols have not looked like an NCAA team (much less a #2 seed) in this tournament.

Disappointing, and Vol fans should not be screaming for respect when Tennessee gets the shaft the next time seedings come out. You earn respect, and last night confirmed the "talking heads" thoughts and that is Tennessee is over rated.

Need to lock up Pearl in the next few days and go secure a shooter in Hopkinsville, KY who has not made his mind up yet.

On Adams: Louisville too much to overcome

Tennessee has played 5 teams in the Sweet Sixteen. They beat:

W. Kentucky (neutral site)
West Virginia (neutral site)
Xavier (at Xavier)
Memphis (at Memphis)

They lost to Texas (neutral site)

Can anyone else make that claim? Clearly, the Vols can beat the top teams in the country. To completely give Louisville this game is short sighted. Yes, they have to play better than they did against Butler, but they can do it.

Glad for the victory, but the team looked tight. For better or for worse, Pearl needs to let them go, run the court, pressure, and deal with the mistakes. The more we slow down and try to take caution, the more mistakes we make and allow the other team to stay in the game.

We will not beat Louisville with this kind of outing. Turn 'em loose!

As in most cases this late in the season, this game can be won or lost at the free throw line. Make our free throws, and I can't see us losing to Butler.

Need to pick up the pace and force Butler to run.

If we were NC and had the #1 RPI, we would be a #1 seed. Perception is reality. Only way to change perception, is to go out and win.

Free throws cost us the game. Sure, we should have played better defense, but look at the second half free throw stats. I think Arkansas only missed one free throw and we missed at least 5 or 6 and some of them were front end of one and one's. If Arkansas had missed a few more and we make a few more, we win by at least six and we are predicting a championship.

Making free throws wins tournament games.

I don't see UT getting a #1 seed. Conventional wisdom has been saying they were the last #1 seed, and losing in the semi's in a weak SEC will not help their cause.

I don't think it is going to matter much. I think they will be in the region opposite of the Kansas/Texas winner either as a #1 or #2 seed. Once you get to this point, you have to beat good teams to go to the Final Four. Seeding will get you one or two "easier" games, but that's it.

Lofton had a great game, but missed the front end of a one and one and missed one of two later in the second half. Ramar missed two big free throws. Arkansas did not miss from the free throw line in the second half. That is where this game was lost. If we make those free throw, and Arkansas misses just a few, we win easily by six or 8 points.

But that didn't happen, and that is how upsets occur. Give Arkansas credit. I thought it was over after we went up by nine with 8 minutes to go.

Still have a chance to see this season as a step forward for the program.

Final 8 - Expected but not satisfied

Final 4 - Moves the program forward

Championship - We start getting recruits we never thought we would, but we risk losing Coach Pearl. A risk i would like to take!

No doom and gloom Vol fans. Alot still to play for!

On Vols can't get over Hill in time, 92-91

You have got to be kidding me...

This shows you how much Pearl rubs his fellow coaches the wrong way. He should be coach of the year and it isn't even close.

I hope Pearl uses this as an insult and takes it out on everyone in the tournament this weekend. Pour it on and remind everyone who the top team in the conference is.
