Don't forget about Ronald Curry. He was the next great everything. Very similar, if I remember correctly, to the status of Pryor. He went to UNC and never lived up to the potential but I think he was a 3rd down receiver for the Raiders for many years. He was a great football and basketball player in Virgina I believe.
5* great athlete's are hit and miss. Adrian Peterson - hit and lived up to the hype. Tim Tebow same.
Said all that to say - who knows?

Give him a chance. Just because Gerry Faust failed at ND 20 years ago doesn't mean HS coach can't produce.

Finally some good news. If the new recievers can't
"catch" on then hopefully and ole TN boy can!

Amazing still. Shows you what heart and good coaching will do. I expect Appy State to be looking for a new coach after the season. Back-to-back National Championships and a win over Michigan in the little/big house is big resume filler. Can you say Jim Tressel?
As for Fulmer again his preference to play only upper classmen his frustrating. On the goal line stand where we did not score after the long run by Arian he gave the ball to him immediately instead of letting him rest after a huge run. The net effect was he basically fell into the pile. Since Hardesty was hurt the coach didn't want to put in a freshman so we basically wasted a play. We were on about the 3 or 4 yard line so Arian wasn't going to dive into the endzone anyway. Give the speed guy a chance since he has supposedly had a great camp. He can't screw up pass protection on a running play!
Would love to Dale join our staff on down the line. Not sure were to put him now but sure loved him when he played here!

Boy I hope all our instate kids didn't grow up as strong of UT fans as he claimed to be! I guess if you plan on moving somewhere else where the ND degree may carry more weight then it makes sense. Otherwise he must have been lying and really didn't grow up a UT fan or ever have us leading. Strange to say the least!
I do hate to lose him though. Private school kids seem drawn to private schools - makes sense I guess.
PS we lost to everybody in 05. I fully don't understand the loss in 04 because we were clearly better but 05 - we stunk.
On Bullard says he will commit to Notre Dame
