If we get this guy, an athletic power forward, to go with all the other tools we have, the depth and the coaching.......we will definitly make a run next year!

I just have to say this. I was like a lot of people at the beginning of this past season wondering what was wrong with Chris. Not in a negative way -- since he had already done more for the program in his first three years than just about any other player -- not to mention how much class he had -- but just wondering what was causing his slump. Then, when we recently find out he was coming back from fighting cancer, that this very private person leading a very public life kept this secret and never once brought it oput to use as an excuse --- that is exemplary! And to top it off, as the season wore on and we got into conference play and as we needed him most, he returned to his old form the last half of the season.
Chris -- I hope you are reading this. If we had 13 players like you on the team, we'd go 30-0 every year. More over, we (and every team in America) NEED guys like you. Not just for your immense athletic ability, but as a shining example of overcoming adversity, getting the most out of your ability, class, and a good, clean, wholesome individual. The NBA more than anything, NEEDS guys like you too. If that is your dream, I wish you the best in that pursuit. If you make it, the NBA will profit far more than you will!

It just keeps getting better and better for the basketball vols!
We are going to be loaded the next couple of years. If we can find a couple of shooters to replace the all-world tandem of Lofton & Smith, we'll be a really tough out in next year's NCAA tourney.
