Thanks sjt -- as usual your insight helps clarify my understanding. I do believe that "D" wins championships but I never played the game - only B-Ball and golf! Sounds like we need to be getting 300 pound plus "athletes" instead of Chavis' 275 pound blocking dummies. Anyway, GO VOLS - win em all.

Hey TD -- I just looked up the 2008 roster and found 9 DTs on the list. You are obviously more informed than I----sooooo---help me out a bit. Are these guys just not any good? Are they fodder for the offense? Why are they on the roster at all?

LargeOrange at 5:45 -- You have a built in filter, it’s his/her? name. I use mine all the time, have not read anything the idiot has posted in weeks, just skip to the next post that doesn't have his/her? name. Be alert though as he/she? has used at least 4 or 5 names including CRVol (aka/Mary). As the Brits say - he/she? is nothing more than a $--T stirrer.

IMO Ainge did more for Tennessee than Tennessee did for him. If Eric's NFL success depends on mobility he will not last long, if not, he could be around awhile, i.e., the Manning boys and a couple of others that are a bit mobility challenged.

txvol @4:10, That was the first time I ever saw UT on TV also. After listening to the UT radio games I always ran out in the yard and pretended to be Jonny as I ran around the trees with my beat-up old football! Was that the team that played in the Sugar Bowl against Baylor when a Baylor player intentionaly kicked one of our line men in the face with his cleats? Can't seem to remember - maybe it was the next year.
Anyway, great memories on here today and George was/is one of the greatest.

This site and its posters remind me of CB radios in the 70's and 80's. They started as a great info tool mostly for "big rig" drivers: traffic tie ups, accident locations, directions, "smokey" speed traps, etc. By the late 80's millions of 4 wheelers got the idea and many became "broadcasters". There were so many motor mouths hiding behind their mic it was almost impossible to get any useful info and the profanity and agressiveness were beyond the pale. On this site typically the first 6 out of ten or twelve posts are informative - after that there is really no reason to read more.
Congrats to CPF and CBP -- GO VOLS!
