Make a BCS Bowl every once in a while and there shouldn't be any budget choices.

Maybe Pearl should start recruiting for the Football Team. Fulmer seems like he's lost his touch.

amyslins, you're crazy. You probably think you go crazy, but I'd be willing to bet you don't compare to the student section. The smaller the student section, the less noise. There's a reason why Florida, Alabama, Auburn and LSU are louder stadiums. A large majority of their fans are loud, where as our fans are not. Neyland will be boring if the student section gets smaller.

The student section was already becoming thin compared to past years. If the student section gets even smaller, Neyland Stadium will definitely lose it's already declining home field advantage. If it weren't for the students, I can't imagine what some of the home games in the last few seasons would have been like. We have too many fans that like sitting on their bottoms and not get loud. This is a BAD decision.

Fulmer needs to consider Loeffler. He and his QB just showed everyone how a slower team with lesser talent can beat the Gators.

Loeffler. He just showed the blueprint on how to outscore Florida.

On Two new candidates surface; could Taylor stay with Vols?

Good post govols57 about Al Wilson. Just like Kirk Herbstreit said two seasons ago. Something like "Tennessee hasn't played with any heart since Al Wilson was there. All those players care about is playing in the NFL and not as a team." I think he said something about the players being like a lot of Kelley Washington's as well.

Nebraska knows when to make a change (firing AD Steve Pederson who worked at UT in the 80's under Majors) and the writing's on the wall that Callahan in on his way out. UT and Nebraska have been very similar over the last few seasons. Mediocrity is not getting it done in Lincoln, so why should it in Knoxville? To save his job, Hamilton has to do the same with Fulmer. I can see it now, UT and Nebraska fighting for a big named coach. I hope UT can at least win that game.

Mr. Hamilton,

You are an ACC guy (Clemson & Wake Forest) and you have done a great job getting the basketball program turned around. Great hire in Bruce Pearl. You are also working to get the baseball program turned around. ACC baseball is very good.
Unfortunately, you are allowing the football program play like an ACC program. THIS DOESN'T WORK OR WIN IN THE SEC. I am a loyal VOLS Fan, VASF Member and Season Ticket Holder, but it's time to make a change. Let's face it, Fulmer has a good overall record, but a bulk of the wins were in the 90's. There is no more motivation. I understand loyalty, so allow Fulmer to be a consultant and fund raiser for the Athletics Department. He did win a National Title and true Vols fans and donors can't and won't forget that. But, when Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Auburn were performing the way the Vols have since 2000, those programs made changes. Go ahead and ask Fulmer for his resignation at the end of the season and get UT's coaching position at the top of the list for a strong up and coming college coach or NFL coach. The Vols should not be a middle of the road SEC team with the facilities our fans pay for through the VASF and other donations.
If you want to become a true UT man (not ACC), you need to do something so you don't start getting more heat. Please listen to your current donors. I don't think Clemson's AD position will be open anytime soon.
