Thank you Coach. You are one of the best. Hope you do not get back into the "rat rase as a coach" you can do better than that. Now go live a good life with your family they have done so much for you. Think about what your wife had lost being a wife of a high power coach. There is more than football in life. Enjoy every moment of your "retirement". Glad to see ESPN do a super job with their tribute to Coach Phil, that was really special.

Let's no forget the times that "John Boy" was stopped in Blount County for DWI and it NEVER reached the Knoxville Paper. I hope I live long enough to read what the REAL story was about in firing "John Boy". There is a lot more to the real reason he was let go. If only he had kept his mouth shut when he was released from the hospital, he might have stay around as head coach rather being the "sorry A--" he is now."John Boy" get a life.

Thank you Josh Briscoe your remarks were great. Let ALL of the "arm chair coach's" play just one down in the SEC. The players don't want to LOSE. Monday to Friday is one thing - SATURDAY is another world, We can't all ways be at our best day in and day out, regardless how much training we have had - we just go out and do what we can and the best on any given day.

Why MUST the WNBA think they have to play like the NBA and start all of the "crap" that goes on with them. I stopped watching the NBA and it looks like the colleges are getting into the same "boat" with the NBA. If this trend continues the sport of basketball will turn into "flag football". As every one knows BB should be a game of "SKILL" not who can talk trash and get into fights.

I wonder if ALL of these people who have expresed their thinking about money (and that is the subject)didn't wish at sometime in their life that they should make more monmey for the work they do/did. Isn't a salary based on quality and quanity of their labor. We want the best for our children and will work long and hard to provide for them. I wish my daughter could have played for Pat. And have we lost the reason for student's who are able to play a sport that is paid for by the "general public" and not the students who do not support the athletic programs at universities any way.How many players graduate that play for Pat each year?
Why are some people bring Pearl up when he has not come close to Pat's record. Each of us should look into the mirrow before we cast the "first stone" and ask ourselves what would we want if we were in a position with a record like Pat's.

Something GOOD comes out of Memphis. Hope ALL can read Geoff Calkins article in todays CA. Talk about "Fair and Balanced". This is reading for all sports programs in the USA. Hope the Knoxville paper will print it.
