Vols..presents an enthusiastic but limp-wristed response but, alas, your deficient effort misses the primary point: During 100+ years of bball competition, utenn (UT is in Austin) has achieved a resounding 5 Sweet 16 appearances. In each appearance, the vol-outing has been especially ugly (the OH ST choke, the U of L humiliation for example). Since "joke" has been appropriated to the discussion, a program characterized more by pot-smoking and crack posession dismissals....added to APR scholarship losses..as well as Tier 2 recruiting...than by high achievements....that now signals national championship delusions on the strength of a directional school coach? Now that IS a joke; a knee-slapping, gut bending, eye-watering, rib-busting funny one indeed.

rckydx...is correct on one point: Jackson is leaning to Memphis along with Mike Gilchist...which continues Calipari's high level recruiting (10 of top 25 09s have Memphis in their top 3). Memphis #4/7 Rivals/Scout while utenn (UT is in Austin) is #7/18. As to Maze, OK kicked him off the team...the way Prince was kicked off AZ...and Scooter McFadgon was dumped by Memphis. utenn: reject u.

How interesting that the utenn transfers...are not finding themselves at Ohio ST, Marquette, Gonzaga, S. Alabama, Ark ST...but rather at "Oklahoma City" and "Bowie State". Reading these posts would lead one to believe that utenn fans think their players were ready for UCLA, UNC, Memphis, Louisville or other elite programs. Just ain't so. Talent or misbehavior, or both? utenn (UT is in Austin) fans are amusing; characterized physically by dirty baseball caps, stained and missing teeth in a whirl of bad breath from tobacco chews, pot guts, F-150s with "W" stickers stained from the tobacco juice and a touch of political idiocy, and pictures of nasalville banjo pickers on the outhouse walls. Intellectually, they are characterized by a void. 5 Sweet 16s in 100+ years..and this tawdry band of illiterate peapickers is ready to claim the college basketball throne. You people are ready for only one throne: The one in the outhouse out back.

Amusing..in a quaint way...is the only apt description of the rantings of the uthug fans. Lacking in intellectual capacity to compete in even a modest debate such as this, the utenns (UT is in Austin)...are reduced to spewing the most debased and base tripe. Brownsfool, Collierfool, and "the vol" (obviously the lead fool)...sound like the kids who never were chosen in playground games. It was good training for their team..which will never be recognized in elite circles. Amusing.

I suggest that all the proponents/protagonists...review the writings since this article ran. Please, especially, consider the word quality usage, the logical flow (or lack thereof) of debating points, and the free flow of crude tripe when the writer lacks intellectual resource to compete. Maybe, just maybe, the utenn (UT is in Austin) fandom could hire the only people in noxville who can competently express themselves (the KNS staff) to represent you?

Watermelon..is SUCH an appropriate name for a mundane and plebian idiot. Yes: Memphis..who just played for a National Championship after 3 consecutive Elite 8s AND Florida...who won 2 consecutive titles...are both so terribly jealous of the uthugs...who are known for choking the 16 or getting their butts kicked. Funny: Pearl thinks playing Memphis is critical; he called Calipari a "Hall of Fame" coach, Memphis an Elite Program to which utenn (UT is in Austin) is aspiring, etc. As to "who cares?", let us consider: Cal on Best Damn while Pearl does his "damn best" to get on radio. Top 25 recruits? All have Memphis at the top of the list. Next year's prospects? Lunardi has Memphis a ONE seed and your uthugs a SEVEN seed.
