Written on Running back Alden Hill caps strong spring with 100-yard game:

We scored 1 TD - Auburn scored a bunch.

Written on Derek Dooley to offer recruiting commentary on ESPNU's National Signing Day coverage :

Now that's funny right there - I don't care who you are.........

Written on Another dubious record for UT's defense :

Maybe we consider Syracuse's coaches since they beat Strong's team - oh wait.........

Written on Tennessee has chance to redeem Florida loss with game at No. 5 Georgia :

in response to traderjoe:

Of course...they might keep him on the basis that he is a man of high morals who builds character and in time will learn to recruit and coach...sort of like Obama might learn to lead.

Of course, while the above might be true regarding Dooley's character and potential, I'm more into immediate gratification. I say cut him loose now and hire Petrino a proven winner in the SEC...and look how quickly he turned Arkansas around. Surely he can recruit better at TN than he did at Arkansas.

I think it took him 5 years at Arkie........

Written on Derek Dooley hopes to avoid Friday games in future:

That's it??? OK GBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Written on USC coach Lane Kiffin gives up vote in USA Today poll :

Kiffin - false or misleading information. How is it possible those 5 words are in the same sentence? And the gall to also use the word volunteered in association with that POS.

Written on Mike Strange: Bruce Pearl's crew landed on their feet :

I want.........I want.....I want.........

Written on Freshman QB Nick Schuessler leaving Mississippi State:

Sounds like homesick.

Written on Petrino didn't want 911 call, called security:

The old game of Pigmania - two pigs rolled out touching - "Makin' Bacon"...

Written on SEC coaches question fairness of league schedule:

Say it ain't so........

Written on Justin Worley to start against Middle Tennessee State :

Play calling for where we are is very questionable.

Written on Dan Fleser: Former players' bond with Pat Summitt remains :

The title to this article is a little creepy.

Written on More on Derek Dooley's orange pants; fabric needed: 1 yard 23.32 inches :

Still have my Big Orange Jump Suit from Big Don's Elegant Junk from 1976. Paid $5.00.

Written on Derek Dooley starts Year Two:

Hope Dooley eats an elephant in October. :)

Written on Derek Dooley on the Montana game:

in response to MercerVOL:

Hope to see a very big crowd Saturday! Got some great tickets.. Section T Row 6.. Maybe I can stir the blue hairs up a little with some loud cheering.. Go Vols!

You will be asked to sit down, face forward and shut up. Give um heck.

Written on Anthony Anderson quickly adapts to new role:

in response to mikethehistorystudent:

This is the first time that I have ever heard anyone say anything positive about the conduct of LSU fans. LSU fans are habitually the worst fans in the SEC. I went to Death Valley and got verbally assaulted several times. My brother got his car keyed. I respect all SEC teams...except LSU.

Since the 1960's, we have always removed the license plate from our car upon arriving in Baton Rouge.

Written on Tennessee coach Derek Dooley talks about Janzen Jackson's dismissal from the team.:

Why is there a guy with an Alabama hat on in our stadium????

Written on Georgia: Orson Charles eligible despite link to Miami booster :

I still have 4 years of eligibility left and am the baddest 52 year old you've ever seen. I'm open to the highest bidder - er - best school for me. :)

Written on GVX247 special offer to subscribers of other Tennessee sports sites :

Most sites these days are able to obtain there reveune through ads while providing their product/service for free. Now get back out there and Sell....Sell.

Written on Alabama picked to win SEC:

Arkansas

Written on SEC coaches don't show love to Vols:

Reminds me of 1985 :)

Written on Kenny Gajewski named Tennessee director of baseball operations:

At first I thought this was another Administrator being given a golden parachute job.

Written on Dave Serrano hired as new UT baseball coach:

See ya'll in Hoover - hooray!

Written on Obama gives chest bump with Auburn wide receivers coach Trooper Taylor:

Get out the slow motion equipment to see if we can see the money change hands during the bump.

Written on Former Vols push Phillip Fulmer for UT athletics chief:

After turning Alabama in, Fulmer had no choice but to tow the line in recruiting - this is the reason our talent level dropped. So in a way with all that's going on now across the country, he was ahead of his time but not by choice and he's not the best option for AD.

Written on Poll: Which of these candidates would you most like to replace Todd Raleigh?:

If this is like the basketball poll - it will be none of these..........

Written on Todd Raleigh fired as Tennessee baseball coach:

By the time we make back to Hoover - I'll either be too old or too broke to attend.

Written on Auburn's Gus Malzahn tries to set record straight on Cam Newton:

in response to The_Real_Orange:

As the Vols await word from the NCAA on their penalties for cheating in multiple sports.....their fans keep throwing rocks from their glass houses. How ironic.....

Why doesn't the FBI release the Milton McGregor tapes then............

Written on Auburn's AD confident in Cam Newton case:

As Victoryland closes...........

Written on LSU lands Kentucky's Mr. Basketball:

LSU is going to be tough in 2 years.

Written on Vols crushed by Michigan in NCAA tournament, 75-45:

Thanks CBP for 5 wonderful years - not so much this year but it's nobody's fault but yours. Thanks MH for not firing Fulmer 3 years earlier, making the 2nd worst hire in college football history (USC hiring Kiffin is the first) and for saving my vacation days I use to use towards the end of May to go to Hoover. Wish you both well in your next lifes.

Written on Todd Raleigh knows heat is on for his fourth season :

Sure do miss those trips to Hoover - some of the best baseball you will ever see played.

Written on Vols ready for Auburn without Hopson:

3 best defenders on the outside & start both Williams & Fields and pound the inside - this is Auburn's weakness.

Written on Scotty Hopson won't make trip to Auburn:

Fields & Williams together would be a good plan as they are weak on the inside.

Written on Scotty Hopson won't make trip to Auburn:

Don't worry Scotty - I've got your back - will be at the game Giving my All........
VFL

Written on Steve Kragthorpe named LSU offensive coordinator:

Written on Two SEC games, two losses for Vols, 81-75:

Ban Jimmy Dykes from Knoxville.

Written on Les Miles expects to meet with Michigan:

in response to mbvrabel:

Fulmer & Chief back together..........

Written on Les Miles expects to meet with Michigan:

He has to be luckiest man on the planet.

Written on What is Tennessee's biggest need heading toward Signing Day?:

Other - A stable, cohesive set of coaches.

Written on Vols coach Bruce Pearl begins suspension Saturday:

in response to Witch_Doctors:

Witch Doctor believe they have it......but very very quiet about it.
Bones never lie.

It seems that way WDg. Seems the Team knows also - so why not put it out there and get it over with?

Written on Vols fall to Southern Cal, 65-64:

Looked like the pig was greased.

Written on Former Vol Jamal Lewis is handing out Christmas trees in Atlanta:

in response to boogimn3:

winbigvols...With all due respect to you as a vol fan, my take on Jamal lewis is 180 degrees from yours...
He was great his freshman year, but after an injury he deteriorated in two following seasons, fumbling, laying down on tackles, and generally underachieving...Fulmer stubbornly OVERused him,
and left a hungry, talented Travis Henry languishing on the sidelines while Lewis cost UT touchdowns and valuable yards...I for one was glad to see him drag his lazy butt to the NFL, where he managed one excellent year and subsequently fell into inglorious mediocrity..."One of the greatest Vols ever"...Hardly...
