It's always good to beat Vandy! Offense was pitiful yet again except that the O-line got some push and the run game showed up finally. You can't lay it all on the players, our offensive coaching is just lacking.
Remember, if you can't say something good about UT say something bad about Vandy, Coach Cafego would want it that way! GO VOLS!!!

UT signed Jay Vandeventer, from Bristol I believe, the highest ranked player in the state - according to Golfweek - at # 32; Ryan Thornton at # 79 in the Golfweek national rankings was the second highest rated player in the state.
Ryan's older brother John was a member of the UT Tennis team from 2004 - 2007.

How do you know UT didn't offer this kid a scholarship?

Adams may be onto something here. Maybe KNS could just have a couple of copy boys write under the Adams byline; it would be an upgrade! Hopefully there is still time to edit this weak 'effort' before you go to press.
When it comes time to find out who the new coach is the link below will be your best bet to learn about it first. If you're in no hurry KNS will have it by the next day.

On Adams: UT should say who it's not hunting

That's a great idea; let's hire a Coach based on his political views and assume his integrity or lack thereof based on that! Glad you're not the AD, and hope you don't have deep pockets.

Here's Carroll's salary broken down from the USC filing via All Things Trojan:

1. Pete Carroll - Head Football Coach

Compensation: $3,953,648
Contributions to Employee Benefit Plans: $84,566
Expense Account: $20,672
Excluded from compensation is $377,500 paid to a deferred compensation plan.
Total 2006-07 package: $4,436,386

Carroll was USC's highest paid employee. Head basketball coach Tim Floyd was second with a paltry $1.1 million salary. University President Steven Sample made a little less than $1 million. Even still most USC fans probably consider Carroll underpaid. Given the periodic talk about whether Carroll might leave for the NFL, a salary like this makes you wonder how many NFL teams could even afford Carroll. He's already making more than all but two or three.
Making 4 mil in Knoxville would be like 6 or 7 mil in L.A. No more surfing on Sundays though!

On Two dead in argument over Alabama-LSU game

Hey fanatic, my point was, idiots like you who keep piling on this team need to get over it. Obviously you didn't watch the POST GAME press conference. It's unfortunate but this team just hasn't been very good. Their coach is out, they're embarrassed, but guess what, they still wear orange.
So what do you think is going to help us get a new coach to help turn this thing around? John Adams rip jobs, fans like you calling your own players clowns? (By the way don't think I'd try that one on Wes Brown tonight.) Think again. How about just being a fan and supporting 'your' team with some class.

On Adams: On a positive note, it can't get any worse

What did people think was going to happen in this game? Anyone who expected the Vols to come out and play their best game of the year has never had to confront a losing spiral in sports.
Did Hamilton make the right decision? Well if he really thought that announcing his decision on Monday was going to lead to a celebration of Phillip Fulmer's tenure down the stretch he was delusional.
Sometimes it's better just to lie to the idiots like John Adams who are trying to find out your secrets. Al he wants to do is use whatever info he can dig up to screw with you anyway. Why not let the season play out like Hamilton has always said he would and announce after it's over. Now he has put the team in an untenable situation, (as if they needed any help).
Finally, we may have looked horrible, but if you can watch the post game press conference (link below) and not feel empathy for what those players and Coach Fulmer are going through, then being a Vol means something entirely different to you than it does to me. I hope the boys take some time off, maybe go for a ride in the Smokies to get it out of their minds, and come back and play like the Vandy starts a new season.
GO VOLS
