Yeah! I watched most of the game - going between the NFL games and the soccer match. Lady Vols beat the Dawgs 1-0 to capture the SEC championship!!

I'd say the trip is to watch the Lady Vols Soccer team play in the SEC Championship game in Orange Beach, AL.

On Davis is leading candidate to replace Fulmer

If it's not obvious how far we've fallen this season, Ball State, yes Ball freakin' State killed N. Illinois, 45-14! We barely squeaked by, 13-9.

I respect Fulmer and all he's given to UT but it was time for a change.

On Key mistakes lead to another loss for Vols

Posted on October 26 at 3:21 p.m.

Here's what I hope will happen (though don't think it will).
Regarding coaching:
Fulmer has been/still is a big part of UT football. He's a dyed-in-the-wool Big Orange man. I think the game has passed him by and hope that he'll announce that he's stepping down at the end of the season. That would allow him to save face and all those who have been screaming for his head these past few years could then quiet down - after saying "well, it's 'bout damn time!" It would give those, like me, who realize that it's more than about wins and losses but that feel it's time for a change some hope for the future. For the Fulmer supporters, they'd be happy as it gives him an exit without a horrible disgrace. It's hard to admit one can't do something they've loved and done for years and that's where I think Fulmer is. If he did that, at least his legacy would be a true Tennessee man, leaving a program with a nat'l champ. but man enough to realize he's not getting it done and for the betterment of the program, it's time to let someone else take it on.

We have a decent recruiting class coming in (and could get better with a solid QB and some DTs/DEs). Let the new coach come in and get people fired up, ala BP. I'm sure the new coach would address things like discipline that seems to be lacking. Briscoe should be picking splinters out of his butt after the laughing on the sideline - and I'm proud of Nick for going over and busting his chops. All the silly penalties from the line and the lack of 'being in the right place at the right time' are perfect examples of a lack of discipline.

For those saying we should toss Clawson because of his playcalling. If you're in the press box and know and who is calling them, then you might be able to comment. But it seems to me it's just the same-old offense that Fulmer runs. If I had a guess (and that's all it is), I'd say that Fulmer is still the top dog. Unless you know better (and I doubt you do), lay off Clawson - give the man a true chance.

Regarding posters:
The personal attacks (Foolmore, Phat Phil, Crapton and everything else) are just petty and ineffective. It shows how little the posters who can't talk/type intelligently have in the way of communication skills. It seems the only thing you can do is just slam people on their physical traits. Yes, people are getting paid lots of money or have a scholarship taking care of their schooling but it doesn't mean that the fans, if that's what you want to call them, have any right to make stupid, nasty comments, personally attacking someone. Learn to use a dictionary or spell-check. It's amazing how illiterate some people are on this board - or just drunk and can't type, at least they're not driving.

I love UT football and have for 40+ years. The immature sniping and nasty comments are just pathetic. Here's to hoping we end the season on a high, winning games for the players, staff and fans. Then look to the future where UT football is back again part of the elite.

On Is the battle lost? Fulmer 'working to get it fixed'

Posted on October 11 at 8:53 p.m.

There's only 12 games in a season (thank goodness for that this year).

I don't even see 5-7. Maybe 4-8 but 3-9 is looking more likely. If we win Wyoming and maybe one of 3 against SC, KY and Vandy, then we can probably hit 4-8 but that's a tough row to how for this team.

I like Stephens - he showed moxie again today - nice touch on the long ball and some smart 2nd and 3rd looks.

Poor D got left out there WAY TOO long.

On Pass, still fail for Vols

I don't think we're seeing Clawson's offense at all. This is the same stuff we've run for years. Fulmer is pulling the strings on this stuff - IMNSHO. Clawson may get thrown under the bus by CPF, but I don't think he's the problem. It starts (and hopefully ends soon) at the top.

You don't know me so calling me an idiot is lunacy on your part.

I don't have orange colored glasses. Place the blame where it lies and in the first half it wasn't Fulmer. Not going for it on 4th and 1 was just stupid coaching.

Now, go back to your mama - your curfew is about up. Grow up. Constantly repeating FULMER SUCKS is stupid! That's you, bud.

LoneStar - grow up. This isn't Fulmer's doing so far today - the men in black and white are giving this to the Dawgs!!!

And then our stupid penalty out of bounds - the frustration is understandable.

How many 3 and outs did we have anyways? So, from that angle, Stephens wouldn't have been any worse.

The conservatism is killing me...us....
