I vote for Muscamp. He has an outstanding record and the price is right. I think its rediculous to pay millions to get an established coach that may not have the youthful enthusiasm and any greater success. I particularly don't favor old men.

I wonder if Pat would consider playing two teams this year and just run the opponents into the floor. One team could be made up of the more esperienced (altho linited) players and another team of the freshmen. This would make for an exciting year and give the young players a quick dose of experience. By the end of the year we would be ready to take on the world.

Sometimes teams play their hearts out against worthy opponents and, even if they lose, you can still be proud.
On the other hand, when a program like Tennessee's with great recruiting classes loses to teams like UCLA and Auburn (this year) and bearly beats an average opponent like Northern Illinois, it is downright embarrassing. I have tickets to the Tennessee/USC game in Columbia which I have attended for several years. This year I am so depressed by below average performance that I may just skip it. When I see what Nick Saban has done at Alabama it makes me even more depressed. I admire what Alabama and Vanderbilt have accomplished this year. I think it is time far a coaching change.

On Tennessee fans unhappy with Vols' sluggish start

While we are changing quarterbacks to good effect, why aren't we doing the same at running back? Foster looks slow not to mention his costly fumbles in prior games. We have four running backs. Why don't we give some others a chance?

It is truly embarrassing to watch this Tennessee team play. A quarterback that goes 8 for 23, can't make a handoff two weeks in a row and throws a pass 10 yards out of bounds on third down and 4 is of no value to the team. I feel like the team is much more qualified than has been shown and Crompton deserves all the blame. I say we should bench Crompton and give one of the other boys a shot. They can't do any worse. And after five years of talking about it, let's start looking for another coach.

On Fumble, and another stumble

This was an inspiring victory for our girls and I am so proud of them. At the same time I want to give a full measure of credit to Pat Summitt and the coaching staff. For most of the Connecticut game Connecticut dropped back in a half court defence and let Stanford run their offence and got eaten alive. Our coaches put in a full court pressing defence and just shut them down. Tennessee was superior in all areas. GO TENNESSEE!!

On Lady Vols hold on without ‘intensity, energy’

Good work girls! Tennessee still has one team we can be proud of and count on for championship performance. I am always proud of the performance of the women's basketball team and their coaches . Sorry I can't say the same for the football team and their coaches.
