I was born in GA. I was raised and live in TN. I cheer for TN, then GA followed by other SEC teams. UGA was loved by thousands of people, he wasn't just a family pet, he was the pet of the University of GA and it's fans. I love Smokey and I love to see him howl during games and I would be sadden if something happend to him.

I actually like the fact that the KNS has news from all SEC schools. So easy up on the ugly comments. Go Vols, Go Dawgs.

Scotty sounds as if he is adjusting to life as a big time athlete in the SEC. He appears to be doing things right and working hard both educationally and athleticly. He's set a schedule and that is half the battle that first year.

The Lunch House in East Knox mades a wonderful fried bolongna sandwich, and FYI they hand cut the slices so you get a very nice thick portion. Scruggs B-Que on Magnolia has a smoked bologna sandwich which is also very good. If your local deli like resturant serves burgers and "cold" bologna then chances are you only have to ask and you most likely will receive a fried Lonsdales ham sandwich. Garnich any of them with the mustard of your choice, yellow or spicy brown, a slice ot onion and/or mater then enjoy!

We have Joan Cronan and we should be glad we do. UT did the right thing from the start by separating the women's and men's departments. I would compare UT women's department with any in the nation and UT would be on top 98 percent of the time. They have the best and this is what has allowed UT to build top flight programs in every sport.

Whoa everyone, if you understand the rivalry between UT and UConn, you had to know this was coming. I realized the moment Pat signed her newest contract that UConn would need to bigger with Geno the next time his contract came up. It's part of how it's done. It's what drives up pay for all jobs.

Geno is a good coach, and even if I don't like UConn, I can respect the man for developing UConn into a force in Women's College Basketball. Many of their fans dislike Pat, that is the nature of the rivalry between the teams. Giving Geno more money than Pat won't make him better than Pat. He'll have to earn that and while he's proven he is good, he isn't the best yet and if Pat continues to coach he may never be. Money doesn't change that folks. Patricia Head Summitt is...well the summit of coaching excellent for this moment of time in basketball.

Punting royalty, this young man has had many opportunity he seems determined to waste. At some point UT's needs to hold him accountable for his actions off the field. FYI, According to UT Sports: He is a rising senior in reguards to football. He originally signed out of Bearden in 2003 but delayed his entry until January of 2004, then he reshirted that fall this was most likely due to the fact Dustin was a senior that year.

He is certainly putting up great numbers at the moment. He had an outstanding freshman season and his summer is looking bright as well. Congratulations to him and the other young men as they represent the USA.

You might be right. Vaulters normally peak after college so he has several more years to compete and improve. The two LV also gave outstandint efforts. Tarmoh might turn out to be the best women's sprinter that the school has had. She has amazing speed. It's good to see a local kid doing well at UT.
