Chavis okay, but not Clawson. He is the biggest disappointment of the year. If Fulmer skips town, please take this poser with you. He needs to return to grasscutters or whatever bottom level he used to coach at.

On Rocky bottom: Vols fall to Wyoming, 13-7

Is this true? The street named for Coach Fulmer on campus (Phil Fulmer Way) is a dead end. If it ain't, it should be. For those who want to give Coach Phil one more year, take a deep breath cause this ship is going down.

On Report card: UT vs. South Carolina

I would have to say this season is the biggest disappointment. In 2005 we did at least beat LSU in an amazing comeback. We all know that at #3, UT was overranked in 05.

I thought this year, we were supposed to have that new offense and a great OL line to protect Crompton. My biggest disappointment is that no one stepped up to correct this situation that many of us "non-professionals" saw coming 7 years ago. Fulmer needs to be fired if only for hiring Clawson. Dave Clawson is the my biggest disappointment of this year. It has been almost a year since he arrived and the offense still doosn't seem to know what they are doing. They look lost out there and no one of the staff knows what to do, especially Coach Phil.

On Poll: In the last 45 years Tennessee’s football team has only lost six games in a season five times. Which team was the biggest disappointment?

Here's a goal for the Vols. Don't get your butt handed to you on National TV again in Columbia. This season has been almost as tedious as watching the election coverage. At least that will end next Tuesday. Our season of horrors has a few weeks to go yet. Sad when you find yourself longing for the days of Steve Alatorre (mediocre QB in Major's early years; would fit right in with this bunch).

On Adams: Vols running out of goal options

No one really expected UT to compete for 60 minutes against the Tide. They have more talent and obviously are much better coached. But when this season began, all Vol fans had reason to expect a great year for UT. We expected to be ranked in the top 15, maybe even top ten. We expected that new OC Clawson would actually bring a new offense that utililized all of our great talent. After the UCLA game, all those expectations went out the door. Here is what we know, not what we expect. Fulmer's program has fallen and it can't get up. He does not seem to have a clue when he faces good teams, or poor teams for that matter. I love Peyton Manning, but you are wrong about Fulmer. He is not getting it done. The main reason I want UT to fire Fulmer is because he hired Clawson, making us believe they were going to turn around the offense with some sort of spread. I am not sure what level of ball is played at Richmond, but Clawson does not belong at the helm of an offense in the SEC. We know that Hamilton needs to make a drastic change, a tough change maybe, but Fulmer needs to go and I hope they send Clawson with him.

On Adams: It's a lost season vs. biggest rivals

I hope he is going to be okay. He was one of my childhood heroes because he always made sure that us kids got tickets to basketball games at Stokley Center when Mears was the coach. When Pistol Pete came to Stokley when he was a senior at LSU, the arena sold out quickly. Harris worked a deal so that me and my friends could watch the game for a buck a piece, sitting on the steps in the upper deck. Fire codes would not allow that to happen today, but because of his kindness, I got to see UT, with the help of long bombs from Jimmy England, Kerry Myers, and one at the buzzer by Rudy Kinard, beat one of the greatest players ever to grace a college basketball court. Thanks Mr. Harris. Get well soon.

On Harris' 48-year UT home streak to end

I doubt that Cowher would come to UT and leave his cushy job on TV, but I had the same thought. I bet he would toughen up that defense and get rid of the dead weight. I live close to Pittsburgh and know what a good coach this guy is. Clemson pulled the plug on Bowden and I think he did a better job with less than Fulmer did with more.

On Defenses are devouring UT's bread, butter (ground game)

If Mike Hamilton is in over his head as the AD, then Clawson should feel right at home. I can't believe this guy knows anything about coaching at this level. Terrible hire buy Fulmer and Hamilton. The only thing they do consistently is underwhelm and prove how irrelevant they are to college football.

On Hamilton talked to Fulmer about potential of Stephens impact

Had to laugh when I read that McNeil mentioned how QBs throw the ball differently. How do the recievers know how Crompton throws. Most of his are uncatchable anyway. He misses his target more than 50 per cent of the time. If Stephens can get it within a five yard area on a semi-consistent basis, that would be a huge improvement. If McNeil is really worried about handoffs and ball security, he should be leading the charge for a change at QB. To be honest, I would rather lose with Stephens and get him some experience then continue on with JC. Crompton is a liability back there.

On QB a disruption for Vols? Bring it on

Posted on September 27 at 7:35 p.m.

do you honestly believe that Fulmer is not involved with this offense. Clawson is the second coming of the Randy Sanders deal. When it comes to hiring coaches, Fulmer is the worst. He wants yes men, not quality coaches that know more about the game then he does. This mess is on both Fulmer and Clawson, who we all are finding out, is not qualified to coach at this level.
