Written on John Adams: With new coach, it may be time for UT to spread its wings on offense :

in response to VolsFanInAfghanistan:

Can I ask you a question, are you a Volunteer fan or a troll? I read a lot of the post on here due to the fact that being in Afghanistan I try to keep up on all Volunteer sports, but you seem to do nothing but talk negative about the Vols. Yes our team didn't meet expectations, but that doesn't mean the sun can't shine on a dogs rear end with the right coach coming in here and fixing it. If the players we have don't leave and can be coached up why can't they have a better season next year than this one. It's not impossible for that to happen. The guys on defense I do believe were recruited to run a 4-3 defense, I could be wrong so don't quote me on that, but to change into something more complicated doesn't make sense. They were raked 27th last year, so you think they stink, REALLY!! I for one hope that who ever they get comes in there and all your negativity comes back and bites you in the rear. Oh and trust me I'll be here Lord willing to see it and I will call you out on it. Go VictorOscarLimaSierra.

one of the most exciting times ahead in history of the program is just around the corner...its GolfRomeoUniformDeltaEchoNovember

VolFanInAfghanistan thank you for your service. Delta Charlie is the former gaterzz. He/she also uses the handle titletownz and probably many others. He/she is a Gater fan. He/she has no life other than to troll this site 24/7. He/she is on here for no other reason than to instigate and stir the pot.

kns plant to help job security.... is it john adams?????

Written on John Adams: With new coach, it may be time for UT to spread its wings on offense :

in response to Observer43:

Why is John Adams commenting on this? He is just like Donald Trump...clawing his way to stay relevant.(And btw we will see how long it takes the KNS to delete this comment)

he's trying to be like david climber in the tennessean...true vandy fan at heart. not sure what john is maybe bama

it want matter who is hired this board will be divided about who is right and who is wrong. When Gruden is annouced it will be interesting to see who steps up to bash his performance before the first game is even history

Written on Reports: Arkansas has made an offer to Jon Gruden:

Wikipedia has Mr. Gruden signing a six year deal with Tennessee tomorrow with Tee Martin as QB Coach. Who knows???

FUNNY----I hope all the rumors are not as fake as this one

He's Got

Written on Jim Chaney: Vols still a little lethargic in practice :

in response to shipperman#280095:

I think they should play future starters and not let Bray play for the pro scouts

absolutely

Written on Reports: Arkansas has made an offer to Jon Gruden:

Folks if Tennessee lets this happen then everything we have been told about money not being an issue in hiring a new coach is a croc. If we end up with another 2nd tier coach then it's over for Tennessee football for another 5 years. All my info says it will be Tennessee.

Written on Coaching Carousel: Day 1 of the search for Tennessee's new football coach :

in response to djohnnyg:

Gruden enjoys jacking with people.

Look for ominous mentions of UT tonight.

Also, what color tie will Gruden be wearing???

Tie color is red. We were out bid by Ark today. Want be jacking if he goes with them. Got to pony up.

Written on John Adams: Tennessee still a top-20 job ... especially if the price is right :

in response to Witch_Doctors:

Witch Doctor find out they didnt open up the checkbook like Bama did with Saban or KY with Cal Witch Doctor say everyone involved will have holiday curse of the flaming poo! Witch Doctor say no cheapies! Doesnt work. Money does. Witch Doctor say if Chucky gives you a price. then thats how much we spend. Witch Doctor say NOW we have to pay..no mistakes.
Bones never lie.

Would you be surprised if they still dont open the checkbook? I want. Long as they can figure how to lead the sheep into Neyland they will do it.

Written on John Adams: Tennessee still a top-20 job ... especially if the price is right :

in response to Clad_In_Big_Orange:

Gruden has been spotted at Nama's

Must be his twin. I'm watching him on MNF and he's wearing a red tie. Maybe he's taking Ark offer. We can just keep Chaney or hire Phil back.

Written on Jim Chaney takes over as interim coach, focused on Kentucky:

in response to utvols420:

HIRE JIM CHANEY!! seriously.

I'm in if the best they can get is a tier 2 level coach. If it's not a big name then give it to Chaney.

Written on Jim Chaney takes over as interim coach, focused on Kentucky:

I just be elated if he gets this win. Good luck Coach

Written on John Majors appreciated challenge Derek Dooley faced :

in response to Geofffourmyle:

"Mary Lynn (Majors' wife) and I both have tremendous respect for Derek Dooley and we pulled very hard for him. He made a strong effort to improve the program in every way.''

As much as whiney little boys do, maybe.

Walt

UT '81

You folks have lost the feeling of winning and just b.tch and stay content to be bottom feeders. Majors played when Tennessee football was respected. If you live long enough you may see it happen over. If the coach search goes like the last one and all turn it down then Chaney will be our new HC. I'm sure he'll fire Sal. Then we will rise to the highest level 6-6 and trip to the pig bowl.

Written on Cutcliffe says he's staying at Duke in 2013:

Here we go again....the rejections are starting...the current la tech coach could be a much improved Dooley

Written on John Adams: Derek Dooley inherited a 'short stick' and did little with it :

Need the big name that will be a magnet for recruiting

Written on An early look at candidates to replace Derek Dooley as Vols' coach:

in response to VolFan_InFlorida:

Hallelujah!!! I thought I was the only one who thought this!! I'd prefer most on this list, and many others not on the list, ahead of Gruden. Can't undertand Vol fans' infatuation with him. Go look at his record at Tampa after year 1....not that great, under .500. Hasn't coached in college in 20 years, never a college head. He might excite some of our more short sighted, foolish fans, but he IS NOT the answer we need.

sorry, but i hope you will start supportin coach gruden in december as he is the one

Written on An early look at candidates to replace Derek Dooley as Vols' coach:

Petrino already hired. Seriously. I have a friend in the sthletic department at UT. He was offered 6 years- 33 miliion. Its all but a done deal.

hart got all that done in 3 hours

Written on An early look at candidates to replace Derek Dooley as Vols' coach:

Acceptable, not inspiring, but a decent choice with the right staff.

you can change your handle now. he is gone

Written on Dave Hart: Vols 'at a crossroads' :

in response to GainesvilleVol1:

Good luck to DD and his family, just wish I could get 5 million to leave my job, I'd give a 2day notice, I'd leave 2 day!

Gruden is the big name hire, recruits, money and all. Time will tell.

GO VOLS AGAIN!!

I suspect he'll be back in Ga Monday. Just leave all the moving to movers. Money makes it nice.

Written on Dave Hart: Vols 'at a crossroads' :

in response to BIVOLAR_BEARE:

Yeah, I heard that 2 weeks ago from one of Haslam's old teammates from the 51' UT squad. I hope Hart doesn't step in and veto this move.

me 2...just got to be patient into December to see

Written on Dave Hart: Vols 'at a crossroads' :

in response to BIVOLAR_BEARE:

Good point, WD..UT needs to pay up and never try to save money on a fb hire especially when fb is the biggest money maker at your university.

My opinion is the front men,,,Peyton and a handful of big money boosters have the man. Hart did not lie when he said his search begins today. Gruden to Tennessee.

Written on Dave Hart: Vols 'at a crossroads' :

i doubt he would leave UCLA for Tennessee but he is a darn good coach , that was a great game yesterday . Well coached team .

His goal is to the SEC but Tennessee we dont know.

Does anyone know for sure if Dooley will get canned today? I keep hearing it will happen about 2pm but that is only hearsay.

Larry says it will be today. When Larry speaks it's true.

Written on Tennessee-Vanderbilt Report Card :

Thanks for being kind but this was F for all except special team. Even the oline allowed Bray sackings.

Written on John Adams: Derek Dooley's firing should be announced right away :

Folks aint that stupid. The leadership made this hire. They are then in danger according to your logic. I respect coach Dooley but not the morons that hired him and gave us zero chance. Fire them all Mr Governor. I agree though Coach Dooley needs to be out of his office Monday.

Written on Vanderblowout: Tennessee loses to Vanderbilt in Nashville for first time since 1982 :

Do you any of you see any possibility Dooley remains as coach?

Just until next week to see if he can make 0-8....One more record want hurt

Written on FINAL: Tennessee loses to Vandy 41-18:

in response to 10Vol85:

I believe this is the first time since 1909-11 that we've had 3 straight losing seasons and also the worst 3 year winning percentage since then as well.

I would like to think we can keep from losing 8 games for the first time ever but we seem to be setting all sorts of negative records.

We also allow Vandy to have there best season since 1905

Written on Halftime: Vanderbilt 13, Tennessee 10 :

in response to twin942:

And now I am worried about Kentucky...

Can anyone tell me if Tennessee has ever had three consecutive losing seasons?

no....two was Dooley's first record and now he'll break his own record with 3 losing seasons

Written on Halftime: Vanderbilt 13, Tennessee 10 :

If Dooley is still coach on Monday, everyone should boycott the game against Kentucky! It is time for action. No more playing around!

Absolutely

Written on Halftime: Vanderbilt 13, Tennessee 10 :

UT's defense is 111th in the nation. It's near the end of the season where the stats can blast Sal. The stats are echoing what we all have known for some time now.

Things can be turned around at some point. Give the man some credit. However I did think it would be vandy by 14 but it aint over. THis game could go in any direction

Written on First quarter: Vanderbilt 3, Tennessee 0 :

SAL SUCKS!!

Funny.....Defense holds vandy to 13 and we are losing and it's still Sal's fault...could it be the offense is back to facing a decent team?????? we are 0-6 in the sec

Written on First quarter: Vanderbilt 3, Tennessee 0 :

Well folks..where is all the Sal blasters?

Written on First quarter: Vanderbilt 3, Tennessee 0 :
