It has to start with long kick-offs and good coverage. It was so disappointing last year watching the other team start from our 45 or even at mid field. That wore out the defense with them trying to prevent points on the board.

Thanks Oldvolsarge and Johnny U. I thought it was late sixties because I was still in school. It would be intersting to see how he's doing these days.

I remember one of those games in Knoxville when a UCLA player broke his neck and was paralyzed. Anybody remember when that happened? Seems like it was in the late 60's. It was a great game except for the tragedy.

My son in law was on the FSU coaching staff during Warren's first year. He said he was the best player on the team even as a freshman. He said he was a quick learn and very coachable. We need him right now.

I wonder if the word academcics has ever entered the picture. Sounds like a one and go. College basketball is like the minor leagues with zero emphasis on education. Give the scholarship to someone that would appreciate it.

The kick-off is a very important part of the game. I can remember last year, when Colquitt was hurt, the ball was only going to the 10 yard line and they were running it back to the 40. That put us in a big hole to start with. We need a boomer to get it in the end zone.

Anyone heard about that Warren kid from Alcoa? He's the transfer from FSU that's suppose to be a top notch tight end.

Fellows leave um alone. They played an NBA style game of all offense and very little defense with no one in the paint. They were fun to watch but you knew they weren't going to the Final Four by the way they were playing at the end of the season. They made us no. 1 in basketball for the very first time. Great season Mr. Pearl.

I've been trying to put this in perspective the last few days. I don't know why we get so worked up over a football game involving 18 and 19 year olds, but we do. To me its like planning a vacation for 9 months and just after you get out on the highway you have a flat tire.
On Vols have urgency to correct mistakes
