Brownsvillevol, I think KY hates losing to us so badly because we have beaten them 65 times in basketball. I know KY has won 140 + against TN, but no one else has come close to 65. I think the 23 years in football tinkles on their cornflakes too.!!!! SEC Champs in "UK's Sport"!!! Wooo hooo!

Actually UT has lost one running game(Texas), 1 slowdown game(UK) and in the Crackerjack box at Vandy where only they can shoot. We have won slowdown games at Memphis, against WVU(and I think that game took our legs against Texas the next night), at Xavier, Gonzaga and today. The great thing about this team is they can win running or slowing it down. The teams that slow it down stay closer, but this team has the guts to pull them out. They are the best I have ever seen in ORANGE. If Ramar and Howell can find their game, watch out, because we will be peaking!
Tyler Smith is the best player in the paint that we have had since Dale Ellis. He took over in the Ole Miss game and the Memphis game at the end, scoring the final two Tennessee baskets in each game. What a man!!

bshell, think about it. Gaines missed more freethrows today than he did desperation 3's. He was 2-3 on those!(including the last shot) I, for one, did not want to see another, and if he had been blocked out after the f/t, I would have not had to see another. To me, that was the mistake. And on the road, dont ever play for the tie if you're up.

bshell the odds are better that he'll make a three than for what you said "could happen". Buzz Peterson lost several close games in which we allowed a 3 at the end to tie and send it to OT. Had someone blocked out the shooter on the missed freethrow, then the foul looks better. I think it is the right move.

Prince needs to shoot free throws Rick Berry style....aka a GRANNY SHOT....It couldn't be worse...and I guarantee you it would be softer around the rim.
What's more embarrassing? Shooting a granny shot or shooting 40%? 40% is the answer JP! Was it the Alabama game that he almost wedged one between the backboard and the rim?

I don't know if we can tackle McFadden. Gees, he made SC's defense look like garbage.

SC had one of the toughest defenses we have seen all year. Ainge said he played badly, but most of those guys were covered all night. Eric Berry was one of the main heroes of this game though. That fumble return was tremendous.
