It's hard to believe that Tennessee couldn't put away No. Ill. Pitiful.
Stephens was definitely better at qb.

-18 in rebounding is a cause for concern. The LV's had trouble with Oklahoma's Paris that is the same size as Larkins. That type of player is Tenn's achilles heel. Hopefully there aren't many more of them on the schedule. Anosike is the key to this team. If she rebounds, no one beats the Lady Vols.

Ainge can't be blamed entirely for the loss. The interception for a td was a plain ole bad pass. He couldn't see the LB on the 2nd int.
But what about the play calling on offense and the defense not being able to get off the field? They gave up several long 3rd down conversions. Seemed like alot of dropped passes too. Some poor tackling at times. Plus 2 field goals missed. There's enough blame to go around.
The game was there for the Vols, but despite LSU missing their starting qb, running back, wide receiver and defensive lineman, LSU had better talent and coaching.
The Vols were much more physical though which was great to see.

The perfect end to a wacky season with the Vols winning on some goofy play, like a Dan Williams interception return for a TD.

I'd give the team a B for quarter #1, F's for the next two quarters and an A for the last quarter. I guess it was good that the Vols won while obviously overlooking Vandy, but that effort gets a big F against Kentucky next week.

I was at the game last night. The lob passes to C. Paris couldn't be defended. Her 15 fg attempts all came within 2 feet of the basket it seemed. Without her, OK is an average team. Bobbitt was the mvp for her shooting and intensity. Parker was her regular phenomenal self. Anosike and Hornbuckle have got to shoot better, but both played great defense. Baugh was the most impressive freshman.

"Rebounding wins championships" Pat says. If Nicky can play like she did in last year's NCAA tournament, I like the Lady Vols chances to repeat.

On Repeat but only better

Where has this kind of outstanding play been all year?

How 'bout an L for lucky. Tenn didn't deserve to win this game. Thank goodness they did, but it certainly didn't give me any reason to be optimistic. The linebackers are too small, can't run like they need to and don't tackle at all in the open field. I saw them out of position over and over.
This team is not getting better in any phase.

CharlotteVol has it right. Get someone that will be creative and innovative. Get someone that will bring excitement back to the program. Just imagine what Knoxville will be like with a football coach that excites the program like Summitt and Pearl do.
