Many considered Prince to be the same (too big of an ego and attitude) way when he left UA. I know that Prince has his struggles, but Pearl seemed to at least get his attitude turned around.

We may get another one out of Memphis as well. Marlon Brown, the #2 rated wide receiver in the nation for next year, wants to play basketball along with football. Tennessee has been the only school that has put the full court press on in both sports. I thought this might be just BP helping out Phil at first, but this kid is considered by some to be a sleeper in basketball. Plus, he would not cost the basketball team a scholarship. While he is being recruited by almost everyone across the country, I hear that Tennessee has been the most agressive by far. Pearl was in town to visit with coaches last week and the whole offensive coaching staff for football was in town today. Fulmer was also the first major head coach to make a visit back in the contact period.
This kid will be a star..he is physical specimen. 6'5 and has a nasty vertical

Its ok everyone, overrated is talking out of fear that his Tigers are on the verge of slipping back to mediocrity.
Dorsey - Gone
Rose - Gone
CDR - Yep, you guessed it, gone
Anderson - maybe gone
Slappahoe (also known as Dozier) - maybe gone
Top Asst. Coach - gone
Next Asst - Gone
There is a lot of speculation that Calipari might be leaving for the NBA again. And it was not dreamed up by any Tennessee fans. I am aquainted with several people that have strong ties within the Athletics Department there (for that alone, I somewhat feel ashamed). Should the likes of New York or Chicago come calling, I hear that he will jump ship. The feeling is that he might be preparing for this because Evans has now held back his signing to make sure Calipari will stay and because of the mass exodus (he encouraged Anderson and Dozier to put there names in the draft) they are going through both personnel wise and coaching wise.

What really kills me is the fact that UCONN (and every ESPN article) keeps pointing to the fact that Tennessee turned UCONN in for ESPNgate.
First of all, as Summit stated, it her obligation to report it to the SEC, what they do with it from there, is there business. Second, i read a couple reports that said UT was not the only school to turn UCONN in. I know for sure that Georgia was one of them. How do we know that UNC, DUKE, Georgia Tech, or some other ACC school did not turn them in to their conference only to have the conference not make the call to the NCAA because the SEC had already taken action?

Everyone remember to watch Tiger highlights tonight. Tune your TV dial to A&E about 10 Eastern/9 central time for the First 48. I hear that Dozier will throw down a sick backhand to his baby momma and gets an and one when her new boo walks in unsuspectingly.

They will open the UCLA game with the same bomb (unless there is a really funky coverage to prevent it) that they ran today. Go ahead and make REservations for SIX.

Newton..
You mentioned Stokely. The Fire Marshall ruled that they are no longer allowed to hold any events in the building. I believe that they can practice in there, but can't hold any events. That said, the people that are located in there (office wise) as well as the Lady Vol Training Room, Weight Room, and Locker Rooms all needed updating.
Additionally, I wonder if the escalating budget could bea product of the possible addition of more sports within the next 2-3 years. (Even since my time working as a student in the UTAD several years back there was mention of this, but has yet to happen. I was talking to a pretty prominent booster and he was telling me Hamilton had indicated that new teams would be on the horizon in the next few years.)Tennessee has always boasted one of the better men's soccer (UT CLUB) teams in the nation and with its growing popularity in the SEC, and there is a push to jump in. To add it, we would have to add a women's sport as well. This sport would be Women's Lacrosse. Currently Vanderbilt has the only team in the SEC, but Auburn and Florida are set to transition into NCAA competition over the next two years.
