Loyal fans will go to this event...myself included! Real VOL fans of the men's team will gladly pay to see the guys again.

I will always remember where I was during that game and who I was with! I was at the game, up in the rafters with the other UT fans, cheering on the VOLS! And two seats down from me was Steve Hamer - former UT b-ball player. Steve led many cheers for the fans behind us! After the great win as we walked through the concourse with about 300 UT fans chanting "It's Great to BE a Tennessee VOL!!", it was the best atmosphere for UT fans! It was a great acomplishment for the UT team, for Coach Pearl and his coaching staff. I personally can't see Bruce leaving UT and Knoxville any time soon. He'll continue to make history here and I'm sure the university and the donors will figure out a way to keep him.

Oh and something I forgot to say...Thanks JaJuan for that final surge of energy and your desire to get the game won!! You have been an outstanding force on this team all year as you were last year. You have stepped up to your role as one of the Senior leaders and your love for the game shows every time you are on the floor. I am happy you are getting the attention and recognition you deserve. My only negative is that we will miss you greatly next year. So keep playing with all your heart and keep this season rolling on to the SEC tourney and then the NCAAs. You are the best!

Why am I not surprised at all the negative, critisizing comments posted on this board today? Typical UT fans...love them when they are good, criticize them when they play bad. And then it looks like some of you post comments without even reading the article! It told you that JaJaun was playing sick, as was Jordan Howell. Both guys and Chris missed practices before this game due to illness and Chris' grandmother passing away. It was a an ugly game, I didn't like it either but I didn't get down on them as I watched and I kept the faith. They are finding a way to win and it probably doesn't help any of our blood pressures to sit and watch these games...but the point is they won. And good coaching had a LOT to do with it. As Pearl said, everything for scripted in that game. Who the heck do you think provided the scripts??!! Don't start asking for Pearl to be fired after one bad game. That's just stupid and disrespectful. Pearl was interviewed before this game and he defended Brady and said it was an embarrassment that Brady was fired 'just for not winning'. Pearl is just in his third year here and deserves better than this from REAL UT fans. He knows what he is doing and his coaching staff is one of the best in the country. Give them a chance already.

I just love how all these columns end up with these ridiculous posts about the upcoming Memphis game! Why don't you all just give it a rest and let it be settled on Feb 23 on the court? Who gives a crap about it right now? UT is winning and UT is focused on each game right in front of them. You don't hear Pearl or the coaches looking ahead to one game...that is honestly outpriced ticket-wise (anyone look at e-bay lately?)...and will be a win for one team and a loss for the other. Logical stuff here. I read these posts to get an idea how our fans are reacting and every time we end up here...talking about Memphis! Who cares??!!
Go VOLS...beat LSU, then Arkansas, then Georgia, then Auburn....THEN MEMPHIS!!

Tyler is a special kid and a great player. He is very appreciative of the fans and our support. His Dad was smiling down on him Tuesday night, just like he is all the time. Keep up the great work Tyler! The fans love you!

This on-going blubba about JaJuan definitley started with Mickey Dearstone and Heather Haarington on Wednesday morning. I was so mad and I tried to call in on my way to work but couldn't get through. Yesterday morning I tried to get on again and got through but they wouldn't take my call on the subject. One caller actually had the nerve to call JaJuan a 'Zero, instead of a Hero'. MAN!! I was ticked! So on the way home from work they are still talking about it...but this time it's the sensible, more knowledgable guys...John Wilkinson and Chip Kane, who are not negative towards the UT Men's team like the morning crew is. When the caller said JuJuan was a 'Zero', Jeff or Heather should have contradicted him, but they didn't. They chuckled and didn't say a word. That made me even madder. So when I got on the talk show in the afternoon I was happy to be talking to John and Chip and to hear that Bruce had made the statements about JaJuan in this article. It's what I would expect from our coach and I would expect that our monring show hosts could start being more positive and supportive of the men's team. I don't think it's too much to ask. JaJuan (and I know him personally) is a good kid and the leader of this team and a dynamic player. He has baled us out many times. He was the player that in the last timeout at Xavier, pumped the other players up and they got it done. I'd say the same thing happened at Alabama. The UT fans that called in and said anything negative about him should be ashamed of themselves...as should our Sports Animal morning hosts...Mickey, Heather and Jeff!! I hope they read these posts. :)

Coach Pearl is not dating a co-ed you morons! I've met his girlfriend and she is a nice, classy lady.
I feel bad for Daniel. He is a nice kid and not a troublemaker or a druggie. I hope he and his family can work something out to keep him here at UT
