I'll put this post beside the one last week that said Fulmer was going to resign at the press conference. If I had a dollar for every post that claimed to have some inside information of Fulmer's resignation/firing, I'd be well off. I'll believe it when I see it -- regarding Fulmer and Spurrier.

The Cobb-Webb offense! How sweet was that.

If Charles "He Stole the Heisman from Peyton Manning" Woodson deserved a Heisman, how much more does Berry? Unfortunately, Eric doesn't play at Michigan, USC, Notre Dame, or Ohio State, so the newspaper guys will not even consider him.

"He's an offensive machine when he touches the football," Slade said. "If he intercepts it, it's instant offense.
"He expects to make plays and when he touches a ball he expects to score."
Which is exactly why our coaching staff does not use him on offense at all or in kick returns. Maybe it is the same reason they do not involve freshman All-American Brandon Warren in the offense. And...the same reason it took five games to figure out that Nick Stephens could do a better job at QB....
Great strategy.

I am thinking Eric Berry is better than Dale Carter or Deon Grant. In fact, I'm thinking he may be up there on the scale with Peyton Manning and others as one of our best players ever.

I have consistently said -- over the last month or two -- that I am ready for a change in coaching. I have just not been sure that Fulmer could turn it around. However, Paterno has done it at Penn State. Amazingly, after much discussion about Paterno retiring, the program declining, and no real future, they are #3 in the nation and undefeated. I don't know... Could Fulmer accomplish the same? Is another year, with this top flight recruiting class and another year for Clawson, worth doing to see the results? This is just a speculation. Wonder what everyone else thinks?

Not "debacale" but "debacle" is what you were looking for.

I have some friends who both graduated from MSU. He graduated from vet school, and she was a cheerleader. They were at the Vanderbilt game, and he called me as they tailgated afterwards. He says that the term, among MSU fans, is "Croomed." As in..."Will Phil Fulmer get Croomed after this weekend?"

This is killing me. It took four games to realize that Crompton was far inferior to Nick Stephens. Are you telling me that it has taken 6 games to figure out how they should have used Brandon Warren? How come a mediocre FSU team could figure out how to use him last year to the level of freshman All-American? This is killing me. I have been saying, for years, that player development and game coaching are inferior for UT.

tnbigg...you gotta get out more often. This is a college football forum and not a public poetry reading. Great writing, but what in the world did you just say...?
