-As someone living up in the NYC area (and a UT alum who went to school when Allan played for UT) , I wish him all the luck with this, but if it doesn't work out, the Knicks fans will be booing him from here to eternity.

Everyone who suddenly gets their hopes up with Stephens after he played 2 series (at the end of the 4th quarter!!!) is nuts. It is like having a centerfielder in baseball come in to pitch an inning in a blowout game and he gives up 0 runs. In other words, he did not really see "normal" game action and UAB surely is not Florida.

I know it's 7 years away, but don't be fooled, UConn has been a pretty darn good team since going to Division I and entering the Big East Conference. If this game was play between the curren UT and UConn teams, it would be a tough one to win.

Finally! A football game I (and other NYC area alums) can drive to from Northern NJ to see the Vols...just have to wait 7 years for the day to get here. Haven't played this close to my home since Syracuse in 1998, and we all know how that season turned out.

VOLstuckINky, You must not follow the NFL, or the Jets, anyway. How you can they are at the bottom of the NFL?! Did you not notice a small pick up the made recently named, ummm..Farve. And, before he even came on board, they re-vamped a large part of their team. They are going to be a much improved team. Before making such comments, please brush up on your knowledge.

-I am a UT alum who lives in the NYC area and am a Jets fan, and have been for quite some time. Unfortunately, I believe Ainge will either be cut sometime in the next few days or be headed for the practice squad, as he is far behind the other 3 QB's on the team. Wish it was not the case, but it is true.

-Living in the NYC area, I can tell you he is in trouble. Ratliff, who is Ainge's main competition for the 3rd QB slot, is playing really well and had an excellent two minute drill type drive against the Redskins at the end of their pre-season game this past Saturday. While I am a UT alum and am rooting for Ainge, it is not looking too good for him at the moment.

-As a UT alumn, it would be great to see him come back, but I live in the NYC area and I know that if he came back with the Knicks and did not play well, you will be able to hear the boo's all the way back in Knoxville.

It is a sad commentary when an article has to be written commending anyone, including the Vols, for staying out of legal trouble. Shouldn't it be a given that staying out of trouble is expected, no matter what your job/profession/sport? This story is like rewarding someone for something they are expected to do.

-Haven't we all learned by now that it does not matter where you start the season ranked, it is where you finish in early April that counts (I think we can all look to the football team as a prime example of what I mean).
