A strong secondary will allow us to blitz of the edges again and be able to bring more than 4. We have been so weak at secondary and d-line that we can't blitz and we haven't had anyone to rush!!!
Hopefully now we can go back to some of Chavis's attack defense and blitz and let the corners lock up man to man!!!
We definetly have the best safties in the country will D Morley and E Berry!!!

To recruit world class athletes? I hope the raise is to ensure a top 10 recruiting class in football next year. Do we get a refund for last years recruiting class?

If this Louisville team would not have had early season injuries, they would have been ranked higher and seeded higher. They are playing some of the best ball in college and our shooting has been slumping for a while. The lack of a consistently good point guard caught up to us!!!
Unfortunatly for Louisville they are going to play UNC who is playing lights out.
TOMMYJACK, I somewhat agree with your statement Pearl must be accountable for loses as the head coach, but he has taken where only the GREAT Coach Mears could. He is a marketing and promoting genius and kids want to play for him.
Congratulations Vols on a Great season and now let's break that ceiling and come back strong in 09

smokey101 We must be watching different games then because I think JP's upside is incredible and he has a nose for the ball. He makes mistakes but it's the ones you can live with because he is trying to make plays!!!
Give great effort on defense, I think he needs more floor time!!!

Maybe the BP parallels aren't so far out there!!!
The one thing Pearl does is get the ball to his playmakers in space and let them go. Playmakers want the ball and it sounds like Briscoe thinks he is ready to be a playmaker. I love it when players are excited, this could be the change we need!!!!
