Gator, obviously you haven't listed to Archie's comments. He has repeatedly said he left the coaching up to Cut. I'm sure he did when they were young, but once they got to the college level he was pretty much hands off. At least that's what he says, and I'm not going to call him a liar, are you?

Tommy, that may be what you say. I said ask them. From what I've heard them say, they would say Cut made them (of course they had talent to start with. He certainly couldn't do the same for you). Didn't Peyton tell Ainge to do everything Cut said! I think that's all that needs to be said on that! Had Cut not come back and salvaged a Sanders stricken Ainge, we wouldn't even be talking about this. He would be using whatever degree he earned at UT.

Two Vols Adams and the rest of you didn't mention that had pretty successful pro careers, though not super successful. Pat Ryan was a long time successful back up in the NFL if I recall. Also, Andy Kelley still holds the Arena Football League passing record. Not the NFL but still pros. I also think Shuler would have had a successful career if it weren't for Norv Turner, and especially Sonny Jurgensen, who continually pounded Shuler on the Skins broadcast. Injuries finally got the best of Heath. For you idiots who say Cut can't develop QBs, there are several Mannings and everyone else who knows anything about football would disagree.

pdparker, congratulations, you have just won the award for the dumb.ss post of the year. Your momma must be proud. You would never have the guts to make those comment to Erik's face or any of his teamates for that matter. They would crush you like the little girl you are. You need some serious help.

Obviously from the interview, Indiana didn't approach him because their informal inquiries told them he wasn't interested. If he had shown interest they would have come calling.

I ran into Pearl's two daughters in Charlotte just before the game. They were with several cousins and friends. All clad in orange. I even got my picture taken with them. In fact, "Dad" called right before we were going to take the picture. He was asked to hold on for a second while we took the picture. I asked if he is staying and they assured me he was. They love living in K-Town. So don't worry. Pearl will be back. Of course we need to give him a fat raise to show him the love.
On Pearl anticipates staying at Tennessee, despite speculation

So by your "logic" all preseason talk about the Vols should be how terrible they are at every position and how we will lose every game? That would then equate to us actually winning the NC? I majored in philosophy at C-N and I don't remember any logic courses that taught that. I believe negative thoughts, especially when done by a large group of minds, leads to negative results, while positive thoughts, again when had by a large group of like minds, will lead to positive results. Therefore, if we are really Vol fans, we should send only positive thoughts their way. BTW, if the idiot (negative thoughts toward him) nafslov is really gone, it will make my reading of these comments much more pleasant. Go Vols, undefeated so far!
