Hold your head high Phil as you did a great job for a very long time!

Please stop with all the stereo types! It's not a good look, to say this person is that, just because they are from Memphis is not good. This guy was in bad shape in Knoxvegas and after reading this article he must still be in bad shape. Which must be why he is not in K-town. However everyone from Memphis is not a thug. He simply couldn't handle what we have to offer at UT and being average is what he wants to be.

99gator you are so right. The coaches put players in postions to see how well they react while calling plays to see how well they work against other plays. At this point only the coaches truely know where we are as a team.

On Opening reviews are mixed after first scrimmage

Who actually thinks that in the first scrimmage that our coaches are going to show everything or even half of what we want to do? The scrimmage was to add depth and a little experience to the younger guys.

I think we are over reacting to this whole Cutcliffe and Angie dink and dunk system. How quickly do we forget that Angie was damaged goods (broken pinky finger) and David is a really good coach who made due with what he had.. If anything, we should have been upset that Angie wasn't benched for the season, but that call was for the head coach to make, not Cutcliffe. I think that we will allow more sacks this year, but it will be overshadowed by the number of big plays we will make. Due to an upgrade at the QB position who is not afraid!!! Go Vols I cant wait until the opening Kick!!

Go J. Crompton show them, you are who I thought you were!!!!!

Doesn't that make his move to Oklahoma St. a lateral move, which is against his contract?

I guess I see something that some may not! I see how much he loves the game and the University of Tennessee. He is a leader and student of the game. I can totally see that!

I think it was a great hire. I trust that he will give it his all, given his track record. I cant wait to see what things we will do differently. Although, I dont know about the price tag that came with him.

On Poll: University of Richmond coach Dave Clawson was named Tennessee's offensive coordinator. What do you think?

Elsinoresam,

Buzz Peaterson was a head basketball coach not assistant. Clawson is an offensive guy who will improve our offense by teaching our guys how to pound the rock down the opponents throats. With the coaches around him he will not fail.
