Ok, before all the Adams-haters show up, you may want to change the score that is given. UT lost to LSU 28-24 in 2006. UT lost to Florida 21-20 that year. May want to fix that before the jerks start giving you a tough time. That being said, hopefully Crompton will lead the team the way he needs to. This season can be one for the ages. Go Vols!

Um, are you talking about the new uniforms UT has, snowvol? Raleigh did change them last year when he first got here to make them look more professional, unlike the old ones they used to wear which looked like high school uniforms. These new uniforms are great looking.

I agree with you AugVol. There are too many fans on here who don't have the guts to stand up for what they believe. They bash the writers on here for critiquing the Vols and say "you need to support your team and school" but then they turn around and say "FIRE FULMER!!" Last time I checked, the coaches are considered part of the team and school. Hypocrisy is ignorant, yet so many of the "fans" here insist to live with it.

Ok, these coaches bring in a lot of revenue for the university, but the point behind this article is that students feel that the raises do not need to be taken from an increase in the tuition. If you fans that really believe the coaches should get this much more money, YOU dish out more money. YOU take the money that YOU earn to pay their salaries instead of making the students pay even more to get their EDUCATION.

And yet, those men's teams have only 1 national title in the past 4 decades. To make matters worse, they have not even PLAYED for one in 10. Sheesh, Pat Summitt and her Lady Vols have succeeded in more ways than the men have. So, until they win as consistently as the Lady Vols have, you have no room to talk Hustler. And I am a die-hard UT fan, and suffered through all those crappy years of UT basketball.

Considering every DVD for the football and men's basketball teams are 25 bucks a piece, that's a decent deal.

Citizen, the number of errors went down dramatically through the duration of the season, but the one thing that didn't decrease was the number of runners left on base. That is not something that Raleigh has control over: that is the players not being able to get a hit when it matters. It also is the players watching the 3rd strike go by when they are the tying/winning run. That's something they're taught when they are in Little League. I'm sorry, but Coach Raleigh is doing what he feels is the best route to improve this ball program. I hate to see Gomes and Lima go, but there has to be a good reason behind it. Just like with Simunic.
