They have debilitating problems at the quarterback position. Whether its coaching, talent or both.

Obviously something screwy is going on.
Crompton is getting more breaks than a Playboy Bunny at a Star Trek convention.
Stephens has done something extremely annoying to the coaches/donor/AD or is a real horses posterior to be treated the way he has been. Otherwise, I dont get it.
Coleman should get some significant playing time regardless of who is starting.

UT is obviously a plumb position, but it would be a step down from where those two are now.
Now they are in NFL, they could move around to other NFL posts for rest of career.

I hope Jack Reynolds at least gets asked if he would be interested in a asst position.

At one time I had heard from a reliable source Jack Reynolds would have come to UT to coach as an assistant if they had asked. No one from UT had approached him about it. Been years ago though.
New coach means a new staff.

I think Cutcliffe cannot make himself drum up some charisma to manage the schmoozing with donors and alumni.
The alums at Ole MIss did not like him. What miniscule amount I have been around him he did not come across as congenial.
Head coaching at most college schools would be tough for him like you say. His dry business like approach would be suited for NFL assistant job.

I think Stephens is improving each game. Once the staff made the Crompton decision in spring Stephens got limited preparation attention from then until he started a few weeks ago.
Not sure what is up with offensive line. Scheme, technique, talent, or combination.
That was a probable touchdown killing very bad call on Taylor's? offensive interference. The offense was moving it on a good drive.
