Has Byron Moore underachieved so far in camp? I was expecting him to come right in and grab a spot, and maybe that is asking a lot for a juco transfer, but he has the size and athletic ability to do it, just wondering if it is a consistency problem or what.
What kind of size does Coleman have? It would be good to have a corner that's 6 ft or so to match up with some of the bigger receivers that we face. he doesn't seem the least bit intimidated as an early enrollee, you gotta like that.
Brewer is a guy that really surprised me last year. he missed some tackles, but if he keeps improving he can be a really solid player for us in the secondary, and that is something we desperately need.
does this mean that coach martin is worried about chris jones' becoming academically eligible? we would have golden, jones, and washpun at the point. that seems like a bit of a logjam doesn't it?
you act like a fast, pass-rushing d-tackle is a bad thing. ever heard of a guy named warren sapp? i appreciate someone putting the team ahead of their own preferences. i think he can help immediately on passing downs. when the giants won the super bowl, they consistently moved Justin Tuck down to d-tackle in passing situations to get more pass rushers on the field.
even jack legged, armchair reporters wouldn't make jokes like "we need an olympic sprinter at qb behind this line". if a fla. beat reporter were to make a comment like this, Urban "cryin" Meyer might show up on the newspaper floor with a machete wearin a bandana rambo style.

please, go somewhere that you are wanted. or have you already run out of those kind of places?
the o-line is going to be better than you think adams. especially if they keep listening to people like you downgrade them, and play with king-sized chips on their shoulders.
Ginger Kids make me nervous to begin with. Guess Coach Dooley feels the same. Plus, red clashes with orange.....add it all up and you get Simms at QB.
what was it that richt and co. sold Marlon Brown and his grandma on? how richt would mold him into a man, and how georgia was a family? what family is it, the Corleone's?
another day, another bulldog arrest. i love it.
i don't think we'll have UGA trolls on here, most of them are too busy listening to their police scanners.
i guess its a good day in athens if they don't have any arrests.
I know this is off-topic, but has anybody seen the article in the chattanooga free press about the four georgia bulldog players that were threatening the lives of a married couple and smacking them around in a taxi? the four haven't been named yet, but i think it shows what kind of program they are running in athens. I live in Ga, and i laugh everytime i hear someone talk about mark richt and how he is a stand up guy. Thats a joke. Although, i did hear that they are changing their name to better represent what they are about. It's going from University of Georgia to University of Gangbangers. Can't wait till we beat UGB this year!
Wayne Chism has represented this university as well as any student athlete can. I wouldn't trade him for three Demarcus Cousins. He played with heart, and it seemed like everytime he went against a big name, he stepped up and outplayed them almost every time. Thanks for FOUR GREAT YEARS Wayne!
We're not getting Selby. He is going to a nike school. LeBron's buddy was the one who got him to decommit at the nike camp. He's getting his palm greased by nike, and we're with adidas.
Can dominate the paint next year if he keeps improving. As the year went on it seemed like he started taking the ball up stronger. If he works on his leg strength and gets a couple more inches on his vertical, watch out, hes a 15 and 10 guy every night.
Expecting them to act like men shouldn't be a problem. Keeping a level head might keep us from making the mental errors that have cost us the past couple of years as well. I would like to hear something from D-Co Wilcox though.
As long as the guys aren't satisfied with making it to the 8, I think we have what it takes to keep going. I like the way we stack up with any team left in the tourney. It's an exciting time to be a Tennessee Vols fan. Let's go visit Peyton in Indy next weekend!!
I'm putting my vote down for Gayboes, with The Pokey's a close second.
Pearl is the perfect man for this job. I love his enthusiasm, drive, and the fact that Jon Calipari can't stand him might be his best recommendation. Here's to hoping we run AN Ohio State University team out of the building in St. Lou!
Our prayers are with you Greg, hope it's not serious. A lot of people are wringing their hands worrying about what's going to happen this year. I say the guys that ARE going to be here, that ARE going to play, are going to be feeling disrespected and hopefully will come out and play with chips on their shoulders. We aren't without athletes, and if they play angry, we could surprise some people. Go Big Orange
J.P., Scottie, and Tatum will get most of the minutes on evan turner i would think. our perimeter defense has been really good in the tournament so far, and i think that will continue this weekend.
with the combination of the guys coming in the fall and the established veterans already on the team, our receiving corps should be the best in the SEC if not the country. having those big guys on the edge should help our red zone and third down offense too, as it gives our quarterback, whoever he is, the confidence to just throw one or two up a game and let him go get it.
lance thompson is an extremely impressive recruiter, and with what he did with our middle linebacker position last year, an even better coach
let the phil stuff go. i appreciate what he did, but he got lazy after the championship season. if he was as good as you're making him out to be, he'd have another job by now. either get behind dooley and this team or get out of the way. go vols!!
hardest runner in the sec hands down. one of the best spin moves ive seen in awhile too. wish him and all the vols at the combine the best.
wonder if dooley will have a hands on approach at different postions, or take more of a ceo approach?
has chuck smith had a press conference? get his name and resume' out there on national tv. maybe get him on espn first take or something similar.
couldn't have really asked for a better day. i think teague will be fine if they leave him, let him work in the slot with some of these big targets on the outside. who is going to play center? we got some good guards in this class, but the center makes all the calls on the line and im not sure a freshman is going to be up to the task. we got anyone coming back that can do that job?
good riddance. we definitely don't need another kelly washington clone. i would much rather have a kid like Da'rick Rogers, who, from everything ive read has talent AND character. guess we'll know about him at 9:45
i watched two boise games last year. oregon and tcu. bboth times i thought their defense played better than what i thought their talent level was. i was pulling for Thompson to get the promotion too, but it looks like we're going in another direction. this guy looks the part, so we'll see.
i cant believe that anyone would want their professional careers in the hands of someone like lane kiffin. don't let the door hit you in the a## on the way out
i trust coach thompson. i would like to see him get the promotion to dc personally. this would allow us to go get a young lb coach i.e. al wilson. this kid is a good pickup if nothing else he can help on special teams. who knows what kind of player he will be in three years? coach em up and put em out there. go vols!
i think chuck smith is a great hire. will bring passion and toughness to the front. i hope we do whatever it takes to keep thompson. i think he is a good coach, but apparently we want more experience calling the defensive plays, otherwise promote lance and hire a linebacker coach. al wilson would make a good coach i believe, but that may just be wishful thinking on my part. as far as db coach goes, the guy he brought with him from tech coaches those right?
Aaron Ausmus is an outstanding strength coach. i'm looking forward to seeing what kind of offensive coaches are coming. what about a bio on these two new coaches? age, experience, etc.? im excited to see what dooley and co. can come up with between now and signing day.
if being lied to your face by lane kiffin doesn't make you question the man's integrity and at least give you pause, exactly what is it that you think is important Ambles? if you don't want to be here, good riddance, and good luck playing for lyin lane. hope you're on probation the whole time you're there.
you kiffin haters and fair weather fans please go root for alabama or florida. they would love to have you, and we would love to be rid of you. our coaching staff has done a great job year long of getting these players to play above their ability level. last night we had starters hurt, and our backups just don't have the same talent level. we're thin just about everywhere, and it showed. playing the #11 team in the nation, we had to be at full strength to have a chance. correct me if i'm wrong, but if moore catches that ball it's a six point game with 10 min to play. we were outplayed, but had a chance to close it to 6 points late. how in the he11 is that being outcoached? like i said fla and bama are looking for a few more good crybabies, you'd fit right in
our guards could not block 95 for VT (don't know his name). he was off the ball and in the backfield all night. even on hardesty's touchdown he was in the backfield, montario just made a great play to break the tackle. it was a bad ending, but im proud of the way our vols competed all year, and am looking forward to great things to come. go vols!
Kippy Brown = Upgrade. Can't wait to see who Coach Kiffin tabs for running backs coach.
he runs as hard as anybody i've seen. i was watching espn and they had a draft board with the top 5 running backs coming out, and i don't see how they can say there were 5 running backs better than hardesty. only thing he has going against him is his injury history, but he hasn't had as many carries and took as many hits either. whoever does pick him is getting a great football player.
in response to NorthwestVol: And a Merry Christmas to you as well. I'm quite honestly stunned (and jealous of) Bama's graduation rate. Makes me re-think my position on Saban. I hate it when that happens.

if i'm not mistaken the seniors that graduated weren't recruited there by nick saban. so hold your opinion of nick saban where it belongs.
why would you give these hate-filled blogs another forum from which to spew? if i wanted to read some uninformed biased inbred ala/ga/sc blog i would go to their site. i definitely don't want to hear that garbage on my vols site.if you cant do better than this maybe i should find somewhere else to follow my vols
dan williams was the best d-tackle in the league. how is he not on the first team?
i think we can upgrade at this postion, both on the field and in recruiting. this was his first time as a wide receiver coach and surely CLK can find somebody that can replace that. in recruiting, his specialty is louisiana and mississippi, same as orgeron's. id like to see us replace him with someone strong in texas or someplace like that.
i hope rodney garner considers leaving georgia when they overlook him again for d-coordinator.
hate to see young men throw away an opportunity like they had. i feel like im still waiting for the other shoe to drop with janzen jackson. here's hoping he wasn't involved.
douglas looks like he has the frame to be a nfl tackle in the future. how long has it been since a tennessee OT wasn't moved to guard in the nfl? chad clifton?
what issue is teague having?
darren myles jr. has played well when he's gotten in the game, i like our safeties next year.
