If Pat Summit does not deserve a raise no human does. 8 national titles, 17 games shy of 1000 wins, one of the best winning percentages in the country, and year after year the toughest schedule. You need to get a grip on yourself. Jealousy is so ugly.

On Round one to raccoon? Shoulder surgery successful for Summitt

I agree that the poll is just foolish. Fulmer, unfortunately, is not going anywhere. But, to be perfectly honest, I don't much care about football. Bruce Pearl has only been at Tennessee 3 years and has done a great job. Give him a chance. Pat Summit, though, is in a class by herself. 17 wins, I think, from 1000, playing all the top 10 schools, and most of the top 20 year in year out. Her players graduate. There is not scandal attached to her program. Pat has been asked numerous times, to coach a men's team or to coach in the pros and her comment was "Why is that a step up?" She is a class act.

On Which UT coach would you keep?

What Geno gets paid is irrelevant. Pat is less than 20 wins away from 1,000. And she got there by repeatedly playing the toughest schedule in the country. She has paid her dues in spades. She has been offered men's coaching jobs before I think and turned them down saying, "Why is that a step up?" That alone made my respect for here shoot up. Pat has always been a class act. Her refusing to comment on Geno is not only classy it has made the media quit asking her. They ask Geno because they know he will pitch a hissy fit. Pat is worth every penny the University can afford to pay her. Go, Pat, Go!

I am just curious. Why on earth would you log on if you hate women's sports. Lady Vols basketball pays their own way. Does the baseball team, or the golf, or tennis, or swim team. I don't know, but I doubt it. The big difference in women's basketball is this: most of the women don't have an ego the size of the known universe, most of the time I watch the men play it seems all they do is dunk or shoot the 3-ball. The Boston Celtics aside mostly they have forgotten that basketball is a team sport. Somebody has to throw you the ball to make the shot. I don't think they count points from out-of-bounds.

Why bring football into it? Candace is a class act who continues to amaze. I am so glad she came to UT. She is a credit to all those who have helped her along the way. You go girl.

You have to wonder why someone who claims "to not like women's basketball" who bother to read an article about Candace Parker, much less post a comment. What on earth did you think the article was about? Go somewhere else or just be quiet.

I have said this before: if geno is REALLY tired of talking about uconn and Tennessee not playing any longer, QUIT TALKING ABOUT IT. For someone who isn't upset he sure ranted. Calling Pat a coward is just silly and childish. We have all just watched a 54 year old man have a temper tantrum. Not attractive. Pat, on the other hand, just said "not worthy of comment". This is really a micrcosim of the difference in their character. There seems little more to say, just let Geno's tirade speak for itself. Go Lady Vols.

Get well soon Vicki. You are a great player. Some come back nearly at full strength at 4 months; some at 6-7 months. Some never make it back the same. More psychological than physical. That injury is so painful that sometimes you just get scared of it happening again. It doesn't happen often to Lady Vols players because, I think, of how well the whole person is taken care of. As far as conditioning goes Jenny always takes care of that. There are other things you can do to condition an athlete other than running. She has the best there is. Since they are waiting nearly a month for surgery she may well recover quicker than normal.

The reasons I am thrilled that the Lady Vols have another NC: 1) I hate for my team to lose, 2) It was not necessary to look at Geno, 3)This is a great senior class, 4) It just proves that (as if any more proof was needed) that ESPN "experts" do not know what they are talking ahbout.
GO LADY VOLS.

On Pieces of 8 uncovered by Lady Vols

The same pundits last year forecast Duke to take it all. Until 2 days ago it was UCONN so lets just say they don't have a stellar record in forecasting the games. This is probably why they play the games. Anything can happen in tournament time and usually does. This team usually finds a way to win, even when they struggle. GO LADY VOLS!
