Crompton was a good prospect out of N.C. He came to Tennessee during one of the toughest stretches in UT history. He must be pretty good, how many of you naysayers have every made a dime from your vast athletic talent? He kept his nose clean played hard for 3 different Coordinators and has had a not untypical attempt at living his dream of playing pro football and doing what he loves. He is a Vol for life. I respect and appreciate the kids who give it their all for Tennessee. To say Bray had a horrible offensive line in front of the last two years is a joke. Tennessee allowed fewer sacks than any team in the Southeastern Conference last year and was near the top of the list in 2011 as well.

Pearl never cut a player he signed. he did tell that Dobson kid he would never get off the bench if he stayed and suggested he go but that was a Buzz guy. This is bad anyway you look at it. The father was interviewed two weeks ago and said no one has spoken to him or his son about prep school or looking elsewhere. Additionally Huntington Prep is big time school and now we have trashed that relationship. Just an FYI here, one of our top targets just transferred there so I think its safe to say he probably doesn't go to UT.

I get why Martin did it but this stinks to high heaven.

I personally hate what just happened here. Martins best asset is his integrity and in this one move he has lost it with me and made it easy to recruit against him. This is consistent with what Buzz did and we saw how that worked out. Its bad enough that you would not have room for a kid who commits to you early in the process. It worse when you let said player sign his papers and then you shove him away leaving him with very limited opportunities. If you sign him then you should accept him. What happened here is a shame. Now that coach Martin has ventured into the sewer here he may find out as many other coaches have its hard to get out.

IF this unfolds the way it appears, I hate it too. Coach martin knows the Vols need to show a lot of improvement this year. While destroying Kintucky and beating Florida {again} were awesome to watch, and both look like easy wins next year, that probably won't save his job if they miss the big tourney again.

Get over it. Voloffaith is just listing the obvious. Dooley damaged a lot of careers except his own. he managed to leave with an additional 5 million in his pocket. I feel sorry for all the players, coaches and UT and La. Tech fans that had to endure Dooley and his ineptness.

Derek Dooley went from Head coach in the SEC to tight ends coach for the worst owner in the NFL and most likely a lame duck head coach. Safe to say his career has been damaged for a while. If you want to talk about damaged careers and UT, consider the last three years for Bruce Pearl compared to Steve Forbes, Tony Jones, and Jason Shay.

No doubt, liked him from the start..However, I don't think Blackburn would have cleaned house like Hart did..Only because he would have felt uncomfortable doing away with positions he had grown friendly/comfortable with. Dave Hart was the perfect person to come in and not have any strings attached to personnel here at UT.

Yes you are right, unfortunately the Fulmer years are over, but let me tell you one thing the bleeding has just begun and bleeding will continue for a much longer time than you think. Remember after Notre Dame fired Lou Holtz because the University wanted a change? It took almost 20 years and a ton of different coaches for them to get back to anywhere near where the were under Holtz. The same thing will happen at UT, and there is a good possiblility UT will never be back in our lifetime because there is not enough talent in the state of Tennessee to field a roster. Fulmer managed to recruit Nationally which is what Tennessee must do to be competitive. Hope you enjoy UT losing, but I sure don't.
