This whole season is the Very reason a player should TRANSFER when a new coach comes in if at all posssible. When you go through the recruiting process you get a feel for the kind of guy you will be dealing with...not completly but somewhat so you sign on. When a new guy comes in and you elect to stay you are stuck... I bet if you talk to the players Gomes, Griffin, Simunic, Lockwood and Lima just to name a few they will say they wish they had left and at that point they would not have had to sit out now they are stuck.

Who was raving about Raleigh . when he was hired I remembered reading Who is this Guy and now we know. He is a loser coach. A demoralizing Coach. A coach that most players Do Not Want To Play For.
We were winning at the beginning of the season because the team had not spent much time with him. The longer the team spent with him and his coaching the worse the team got.
I say to the potential players out there As long as Raleigh is at UT go somewhere else!!! He will Ruin You.

wow....could not happen to a better coach....
what a disgrace.i hear that the story about Simunic having academic issues is not true i heard that he is not only eligible by SEC standards but by the NCAA as well..What is the True Story? Heard that the commentators on the TV game Saturday stated that he was academically ineligible and that he personally called them and they recanted during the broadcast...

If you go back and look at all of the interviews he has given you get a very clear picture of who this coach is.
Hopefully as he locks down the borders His brilliant words .. the parents and players within those borders get to know the coach through his "interviews" going to games and talking with current parents etc. and those players will go alittle outside the Borders.
This guy does not instill confidence and players need that. He has an ego that makes Delmonicos look tame. He will and has thrown his players under the bus whenever it suits him. Why would you want to sign up for this? Vandy, Lipscomb, ETSU even Belmont looks much more attractive

have you heard him talk? not very articulate he better have someone else try the recruiting. and i am NOT a Delmonico fan glad he is gone believe me just not a Raleigh fan either....

Wow!! After reading this article it just reinforces what I have thought all along....Who is this coach and where did they find him. The words that comes out of his mouth are amazing. I guess that his standard "this team is young" just would not work in todays article. So now he has shifted the blame of the losses to the "Out Of State Players"?? Are You Kidding ME??
I guess if he had his way he would get rid of:
Morgado.Davis.Gomes.Griffin.Cyrkovich.Harris.....Hernandez.Grishim.Lima...........
Since when do you have to be from Tennessee to play for Tennessee? Why is it that Summit, Pearl, and even Fulmer dont have to Lock Up The Borders? COULD IT BE THE COACHING?
For him to say what he said is DISGRACEFUL and he should be ASHAMED...
I feel so sorry for the out of state players who are on the team......

Could not happen to a better guy!! Sorry for the team but happy the "coach" and I use that term loosely is going home!!
Of course he could not finish the interview without pointing out in his sarcastic tone that Morgado had a tough night. He couldn't leave well enough alone
On Vols' tournament hopes come to an end
