Must have been the bowl practices. Uh, wait....
I'm sure his phone is ringing off the hook. The Falcons could use a veteran LT in the worst way.
Good for Mickie but it could be an indication of what we know is coming......
Bye Bye, Geno! Back under your rock....
Hug??? April Fools!
Jack Welch was on CNBC this week and said the worst thing for any company is someone with good numbers but bad culture. He said you must get rid of these people publicly and quickly. The other performers will step up and appreciate the decision by management. No different in football.
All these great WR's but somehow they will still find a reason to throw to Zach Rogers.
Any news on Santos today?
Does the poll mean greatest need or greatest need assuming our commitments stick? If we keep everyone committed then we could really use as stud RB.
Won't exactly need to fill the fax machine in Dooley's office come February.
One...I'd be upset too if Zach Rogers played in front of me.
Two...Let's see if a Dooley/Hart issue erupts out of this. I could see Hart letting him go and Dooley wanting to restrict the transfer. Lets see if Hart backs Dooley on this one or, gives Arnett a free release.
If the Dooley party every implodes, I would spend whatever it took to get Chip Kelley from Oregon here. I bet if Muschamp doesn't make it, the Gators will be knocking on his door.
The ETSU game is Friday. Article posted early.
STOKES!!!! Merry Christmas!!!
Poole certainly never reminded us of our recent senior tailbacks...Hardesty, Houston, Riggs, Stephens and Henry.
Not saying Dooley should or will be fired but....
HAD Dooley lost to Vandy which was a squeaker, and subsequently lost to KY, would Dooley have been fired for 0-8? Because that was reeeeaaaaly close.
Season is going to be over shortly.
Fulmer, Cutcliffe and Chavis, please.
in response to AtopTheHill06: Dwight Miller, Yemi Makanjuola, are talented big men and each have the ability to score around the basket. Makanjuola has good defensive presence and can block shots. Wes Washpun is an undersized guard with unbelievable jumping ability and good defensive skills, plays with alot of emotion. Josh Richardson has the highest ceiling of all the freshman. He will be a talented scorer, along with J. McRae. Has received significant minutes this year, especially in the Maui.

Excellent. Thank you. Hope we can survive what must be the toughest schedule in the country. Next week is brutal and the party beginning on Jan 4 could not be tougher. Sounds like the Maui tourney was a good barometer and there is hope.
Had to work during the Maui tourney so didn't get to watch the games. Curious what the new faces looked like.....
Dwight Miller - Yemi Makanjuola - Wes Washpun - Josh Richardson -
Are these guys contributors or projects???
Justice prevaled. Clean pick by Gordon and great run to the house!
Wish I could "close the book" on my mother-in-law just as easy.
Arky just scored again.
Fulmer, Charlie Strong or.....Trooper Taylor.
I'm sure they will want Guz Malzahn.
Nice shutout for the D.
Step up and play well, Rod. The VOL Nation has waited three years to see you on the field.
It's rather apparent Dooley favors the guys he recruited. Wilks is a good example. So are Matt Milton and Arthur Jeffrey. And, Worley over Simms.
in response to Orange_Nation_23: So anytime the opposing QB sees PW in the safety position, he knows to check into a pass play…

Great point.
Surprised we haven't heard the names Rod Wilks and Byron Moore. What happened to those guys??? Highly rated busts?
I like the improvement of Lane but Dooley has got to find a great RB for this recruiting class. Two are committed but don't appear to have freshman impact potential. Not sure who backs up Lane next year at this point.
Never count out the VOLS.
This will put Prentiss in position to finally gets some INT's for the VOLS. With Randolph at safety, we now start 3 true freshman on defense.
My hope is we get these changes worked out(Simms, Bullard, Stone, Waggner and Randolph)and really set our sights on the South Carolina game. Great chance for a SEC win.
Just need Simms to play decent and get some rhythm with our receivers against Alabama. VOLS have a very legitimate chance of beating South Carolina in Neyland with a good outing from Simms. Especially if our running game continues to improve. The turnovers have got to start going our way and look for Devrin Young to make some big plays down the stretch.
This league is brutal. Dooley once said.."you need to have two ONE's at RB in this league". Hate to benefit from someone else's misfortune but the VOLS chances of winning just went up significantly. So did Georgia's chances of playing in the SECCG.
With "Chief" running the LSU defense, lets pray we are in 3rd and 18 situations all day! Automatic FIRST DOWN!!!
All we can do is try and play our best. Watch for some trickeration tomorrow. Fake punts, etc. I would love to see a dump to DaRick who slings it down field to an uncovered Rajon Neal.
Never count out the VOLS!
Just some numbers from last year's game....You know....the one the VOLS essentially won in Baton Rouge.....
D. Moore - zero catchesL. Stocker - 2 catches - 16 yardsG. Jones - 5 catches - 46 yardsI'm sure we would all take Rivera, Arnett and Rogers over last year's group.
LSU is the same Lee/Jefferson QB tandem. Stevan Ridley is long gone who essentially was the guy who beat us. They still have Randle at WR.
This one is in Knoxville. Every National Championship run has a scary tight game. If I'm LSU, I wouldn't look past UT.
Keep in mind this is essentially the same team that took LSU to the brink in Baton Rouge last year. No Janzen Jackson, but add Lane, Young and Arnett. Toss in we have improved significantly on defense. Even with only 11 on the field. :)
Defense had some lapses but held Georgia to 20 points. No one planned on losing Jackson, Poole, Bray and Hunter when the season started.
Still, I'm confident we are going in the right direction. Looking forward to seeing D. Rogers, D. Young, Arnett, Rivera and Lane emerge as stars.
We might take our lumps for a while but upsets do happen and we've all seen overconfident teams (LSU and Alabama) look past teams and play sloppy.
Hell....even Chad Clifton got hurt tonight.
VOLS will dig deep. Fans need to also. We are fortunate to have a senior QB like Simms to lead our team. VOLS will with the State Championship and still make it to a bowl.
This season will be another stepping stone even though October may be rough. Looking forward to seeing a lot more D. Young, Arnett and Lane.
The future is bright and this season is far from over. Lets stay supportive and look forward to seeing some young players emerge into stars.
We won't be able to run the ball on LSU so let's not even bring it up.
in response to Upgrayedd: Lol, Driskel isn't even dressed for the game today! Gators are gonna get demolished today. Don't even have a QB who's taken a snap.

DAMN! I knew Hunter could have burned Cody Riggs all day just like LSU just did. DAMN we could have beat Florida.

Wow....I didn't know the VOLS are ranked 6th in the country according to the last paragraph. Must have missed that.
Two reasons the VOLS win in Neyland tomorrow...1. Matt Simms2. AJ GreenNeither are playing.
Last year in Athens the VOLS had 3 turnovers, Georgia zero. Green caught 6 balls for 96 yards and a TD. Simms threw a pick and we had two fumbles. Tough road game for a young team.
Totally different ballgame in Neyland tomorrow. Bray and company get it done!
SEC EAST is wide open for the VOLS!
Uncharacteristic??? Murray has thrown at least one pick in every game except Coastal Carolina. Three against MSU. VOLS should like that trend.
You don't see our man doing that!
Bray and company get it done against the Dawgs in Neyland.
Good QB's beat Georgia every time.
Bray and company get it done in Neyland!
All this attention on Rogers is perfect for a guy like Arnette. I'm looking for a breakout game from him along with Rivera. Zach will be Zach but the Dawgs won't slow down this train!
VOLS get it done against the Dawgs in Neyland!
Can you imagine how good we are going to be next year and the following when all these freshmen and sophomores grow up? WR's across the country should be lining up to play with Bray. Especially after we make a statement this Saturday!
SEC EAST is wide open for the VOLS!!!
LOL! Did Ward actually write "fired up and focused"??? Next sentence should have been "work like heck" or "need to watch the film".
VOLS get it done against the Dawgs. Bray is the top QB in the SEC!
Just need to control Murray from scrambling out of the pocket and picking up key 3rd downs. Murray should give us a couple of gift INT's along the way. UT has smoked UGA the last two trips to Knoxville. The trend continues this Saturday.
VOLS 31-17. Bray with 4 TD passes, 0 INT's. Best QB in the SEC.
Welcome to the Bray and Da'Rick show on ESPN! VOLS get it done against the Dawgs!
in response to VT_Vol31: With the two game rule and the 20%, you use which ever is greater. 20% of 12 is 2.4, and looking at the explanation, that is rounded up to 3. So for football players they can participate in up to 3 games and still qualify for a medical redshirt. Similar thing happened to a VT receiver who had a season ending injury this weekend but is eligible for a redshirt.

Hunter participated in 3 of 12 regular season games. That's 25%. Hope I'm wrong but sounds like we would need a 4 play exception to give him another year.
