Written on Kenny Hall survived 'politics of college basketball' for Vols:

Thanks for your effort and loyalty Kenny, we'll miss you.

Written on Skylar McBee goes from humble start to Senior Day:

I hope he has a great game today. We'll miss you Skylar.

Written on Calipari loosened team up after Tennessee thrashing with coaches vs. players dodgeball:

Who gives a rats rear what they do in practice? Our team kicked their butts, period. Funny that there's no coverage of the crying that went on in their locker room in TBA after that record setting beat down.

Written on Mike Strange: Jordan McRae was the man:

"With 3:21 left, O’Bryant missed in close, McRae beat him to the rebound and O’Bryant was whistled for his fifth foul."

I thought that was his best play of the game. McRae was a superstar tonight!

Another solid victory for our team. GO VOLS!!!

Written on Cuonzo Martin: Vols are in a 'grind':

GO ARMANI!!!!!!!!!!!

Written on Vols have reason to smile, 54-53 over Alabama :

in response to underthehill:

37 - 22 rebounding edge for the Vols..could have won by a much larger margin by cutting down on the turnovers..Armani Moore continues to make progress and looks like a future All SEC type..or more..quick hands and feet..excellent anticipation as to where the ball will come off on a missed shot..excellent rebounder and defender..strong competitor..talent that will shine with a bit more experience..I really like that Martin is getting the young guys more involved..

I totally agree! Armani seems to get better with each play. I like his energy, athleticism and that excellent anticipation. His blocks are a crowd pleaser too.

Written on Brent Musburger's ogling of Alabama QB's girlfriend goes viral:

Musberger needs to go. I had a moment of acid reflux when I saw he was going to be the announcer. Can't ABC/ESPN find someone better? Lecherous old man.

Written on Terry Fair 'nervous, but extremely excited' to join Butch Jones' support staff:

Maybe with Terry's experience in the secondary, he can help improve that part of our team. We need it.

Written on USC shows up an hour late for bowl dinner; Trojans player cusses El Paso:

Classless jerks, just like their coach.

Written on Jones tells Vols to 'Be the best':

Welcome coach, you look great in orange. GBO!

Written on John Adams: Reality reigns in UT hire :

Almost immediately, Adams has Jones on the hot seat two years from now. Adams the psychic. Hire Petrino? What an idiot!

Written on Charlie Strong: "Toughest decision I've had to make" to turn down UT:

I thought we had a chance to get Strong but I guess he likes the low pressure job of playing for his conference championship in front of a 55,000 seat stadium that's 3/4 full.

Written on Dreaming big: Cuonzo Martin's mother provided plenty of incentive :

I am so thankful that Cuonzo Martin is our basketball coach.

Written on Lady Vols coaches 'excited' about signees :

Wish they could play now but this is a significant accomplishment for Holly. Putting a great coaching team together and then a great recruiting class in her first year were her most important steps as the new leader of the Lady Vols. She's accomplished them both with the precision and execution we've come to expect from Pat. Congratulations to Holly and all of the Lady Vols coaching staff.

Written on John Adams: If not a big name, how about a familiar one in David Cutcliffe? :

in response to RoyaltyVol:

You must have been asleep those great years at UT with Cutcliff as OC and Chavis was DC. Our program started downhill when Cutcliff left, oh how everyone forgets. Cutcliff isnt my first pick but he would be a solid pick and as far as Randy Sanders, Id hire him as QB coach, he did alright with Peyton and Tee. We need a coach who either has played or coached at UT because they understand Tennessee tradition. We want someone who bleeds orange and isnt just coming for the $$

I totally disagree. Saban had no ties to bama and look where they are. You don't need someone who bleeds orange. Pay someone an obscene amount of money and make us winners.

Written on John Adams: If not a big name, how about a familiar one in David Cutcliffe? :

Like I said when you recommended Petrino and Tuberville, you really do hate UT, don't you?

Written on John Adams: If not Jon Gruden, how about Bobby Petrino or Tommy Tuberville? :

Petrino or Tuberville? You really do hate UT, don't you?

Written on No. 1 recruit Mercedes Russell picks Tennessee :

I think I hear the Sonny & Cher recording in the background, "and the beat goes on". Way to go Holly!

Written on With Rajion Neal 'doubtful,' UT must adjust rejuvenated run game:

Shake it off, Devrin. This is a new week.

GO BIG ORANGE!!!!!!!

Written on Trae Golden has gained the confidence to lead Vols :

Why do you people respond to the trolls? Don't be so gullible. Ignore them and they will go away. No comments or quotes when they post, just ignore them. Go Vols!

Written on Warlick believes all 11 Lady Vols can help :

Holdsclaws' jersey should be retired before Parkers'.

Written on Derek Dooley says Tennessee players 'overestimating' 1-0 start:

+1 for ambrown64! Last Friday was just the first step, not the final step, in restoring UT football.

Written on Florida focused on turning things around:

So the gators won 4 more games than we did in the last 2 years and Dooleys' the one on the hotseat? Muschamp inherited Fort Knox compared to what DD got when he came to the hill.

I can't wait for 9/15!

Written on Summer work boosts Michael Palardy's confidence :

in response to tennrich1:

Just don't think using "ubiquitous" with that meaning fits just right....why didnt you just say "constant" or "never-ending"...ubiquitous means "everywhere"...Soooooo...as we have learned his panic can't be everywhere however it can be constant or never-ending...the harrassment would be much more fun for us if you would show a little cleverness....not much...just a little...

Why do people still respond to the rat? Just ignore the idiot!

Written on Mike Strange: Bruce Pearl's crew landed on their feet :

It still hurts to think about it. Sure teaches a lesson though, doesn't it?

Written on If you could only have one, would it be:

I don't want a 9 win season, I want a 14 win season.

Written on Cuonzo Martin has faith for more than basketball success :

Roberta picked the perfect husband and I think Mike Hamilton picked the perfect coach. Thanks Mike! We have a great man and a great coach. I hope he stays at our school for a long time.

Written on Billy Donovan: Jarnell Stokes took on leadership role :

I'm really excited to see the Vols take the court. This is going to be a big year for us.

Written on Holly Warlick on good speaking terms :

Go Holly! Just like Pat, we are with you all the way.

Go Lady Vols!!!!!!

Written on Cuonzo Martin patient for contract with Tennessee:

"I plan on being here for a long time..."

That's great to hear. Go Zo!!!!!!!!!!!

Written on Kyra Elzy in position to lead recruiting battle :

Go Kyra! It is still The University of Tennessee, the attendance leader in the nation. I guess recruits have to ask themselves, do I want to play in front of 14,000 plus? There may be great recruiters in other places but not that kind of support.

Written on Jamal Lewis bankruptcy hearing postponed :

I'm sick of hearing about all these guys that are suing over concussions. They lead with their head when they tackle, run, etc. Of course they're going to get concussions. It's a violent sport. Some teams even pay their players to hurt other players. If they don't want to get hurt, they should have chosen a safer occupation.

Written on Vanderbilt coach James Franklin apologizing for wives comment:

People usually say what they mean. Sometimes they are made to apologize for it. That's the case here. I agree with a previous post, he won't be at Candy for long, but then, no one is.

Written on John Adams: Billy Donovan sees Vols as team to beat in SEC :

Donovan is just making excuses for last year. We'll sweep them again this year and the Kittens too!

Written on Big 12, SEC have deal for football champs to play:

"11 conference commissioners and Notre Dame's athletic director"

I wish someone would grow a set and stop including ND. They're irrelevant and have been for a while now.

Written on Florida hits home run in eighth to beat Lady Vols, 2-1 :

I watched it on TV. Bummer. The season isn't over ladies. The NCAA is next. You can do it!

Go Lady Vols!!!!

Written on Jake Rainey gives up 2012 track season to help mom :

Ms. Rainey, you have a special son. You are a lucky lady.

Written on Four more Lady Vols graduate under Pat Summitt's watch :

"During Summitt's 38 years, every player who completed her four years of eligibility earned a degree."

This is the greatest accomplishment of her long career. I also think this is one record that won't be equaled. It is a testament to CPS and the wonderful women who have played for her and our university.

Written on Finish this sentence: The greatest thing about Pat Summitt is ...:

in response to jimbob:

(This comment was removed by the site staff.)

I agree!

Written on Petrino, mistress exchanged 100s of calls, texts:

in response to AlexAndersonAAradio:

This is none of your business people. Come on!

Yes it is.

Written on Jeronne Maymon likely to miss spring practices :

in response to Ayres_Hall:

Jeronne Maymon reminds me of Willis Read. How many of you young punkins know who I'm talking about?

I agree and with Wes Unseld (Stokes) out there with him, they make a mighty big duo. GO VOLS!

Written on Pat Summitt and Geno Auriemma share big hug:

in response to AlexAndersonAAradio:

Maybe she is recruiting him to take her place?

He's still the biggest a#$ in the world. I'm so glad he lost tonight. I hope he never wins another national championship.

Written on Should Pat Summitt step away from coaching now?:

I voted yes but I will surely cry real tears when she makes the announcement, whenever that occurs. She will always be the greatest of all time.

Written on 'Finality is more vivid' for Lady Vols' five seniors:

Thank you seniors! We are proud of you and the way you have represented our university. Regardless of the final results, this class has shown more character than any I can remember, that have worn the orange. I'm sure CPS and all the real UT fans feel that's more important than winning.

Written on Baylor ends Lady Vols' season, 77-58 :

I can understand why Griner has only fouled out of one game ever. The LV shooting was bad, the officiating was worse.

Written on Cuonzo Martin reflects on first year at UT :

in response to hueypilot:

The best thing he did IMO is when they returned early am (like 3 am) due to some flight gliches and he told them he expected all of them to be in their early classes. Unlike Boeheim (sp?) who denied responsibility for his Syracuse players for anything other than basketball, Martin says he is preparing his players to be good men after basketball. While winning is important, it is important to me as a donor, a season ticket holder, and alum, father of three more alums, that he win the right way and his players represent our school well. I know, I know, winning winning winning, but I want them to do it the right way. In that regard, I am a big CM fan.

This alum totally agrees with you! We have a winner in CCM. I hope he stays at Rocky Top for a long long time.

Written on Bruce Pearl vehemently denies Ohio player's claim :

in response to doesitmatter:

(This comment was removed by the site staff.)

"Most would take pearl and his lies and NO ethics just to win"

Really?

You sound like you're describing John Calipari.
