Yes tell us something about TN recruits!!! I think Poole is the only one I've read a story about and that one was basically a rewrite of someone elses.

I wish you the best DMO. There is more to life than football but football can be the enjoyable part. Go for it all now, get the degree because it can't be taken away from you and strive to get paid to do the "enjoyable" part of life and be a good dad.

everyone needs to read the ESPN mag linked above! KNS needs to reprint that someday.

Free throw shooting was our weakness tonight and the poor FT shooting let vandy get back in the game. plus you had the ref Valantine out there keeping Vandy in it by calling handchecks on UT while Vandy bodied-up on our guys creating TO's. But free throw shooting must be at least 65%. Was it below 50%?

I agree with ctownvol. We have plenty of scholarships available and I doubt we would find enough DTs to accept them. So sign the kid, if he can't QB he becomes a TE or something while hopefully leading our baseball team to a championship. Would you have turned Helton away? Helton was smaller than Kelly as a QB.

Great to have Foster back. He is a tough runner and if he improves the weaknesses Coach Drayton pointed out he can have a monster year. He is a good all-around back and a great person and a true Volunteer now. Thanks Arian! I'm feeling good about 2008!!!

I like him. He has an "attacking offense" so maybe the 3 yard dinks on 1st down and throws to the sideline will be a thing of the past. Lets sign him and then get the MI QB coach as QB coach.

There was a reason UT faded in the second half of almost every game and Coach Cut and the Offensive was the reason. We'd be successful running particular type plays in the first half yet change to throwing 3 yard outs later. A running back gets in a groove, you replace him with a freshman. Cut's return helped Ainge recover and brought mental toughness but Cut is a mediocre play caller and schemer and this again raised its ugly head against Wisconsin. Other OC's will script the first 2 series so they can learn how the defense responds the certain plays and use the knowledge gained to more effectively attack the rest of the game. Remember Tebow taking the snap and running straight into our D on their early series, setting us up for fakes and throwing over our heads later. I saw that coming. Cutcliffe admitted he doesn't script plays which causes not knowing how to effectively attack later or not recognizing what has worked the best. The coaching turnover on offense is welcomed! We need a true RB coach to teach Foster to stop hesitating, dancing outside too much and play to his strengths while recognizing the cutback lanes created by zone blocking. He and Hardesty can be a very good, if not great backs with coaching. We have speed to burn at receiver yet what good is great speed if 75% of pass plays have receivers catch the ball while stopped or catching a pass running toward the sideline or back toward our line. We don't take advantage of our speed. Our D will be solid! I feel our young defense would get worn out because the O would have so many 3 & outs, forcing the D to stay on the field to much and it also gave the other team great field position. Chavis will have his troops ready and a better Offensive staff could bring better results to our O. Maybe we will even get a Special teams guru! Fulmer is the right guy to lead our team and I think he is looking forward to getting an offensive staff he can oversee more. The deal with Cut was Cut had total control and that wasn't healthy for our Team or Fulmer. Great things are coming!

2008 season can't get here soon enough! It could be a banner year for Vol fans and Coach Fulmer. I was actually glad Cut got the Duke job because today he proved to be a liability to our team. His play calling cost us at least 14, 10 or 6 points and the offensein the second half kept our defense on the field too much. Fortunately our D battled through it and the other coaches including Coach Fulmer covered Cut's butt. If there is one thing I want to see Coach Fulmer do now is to start vetoing moronic play calling when he hears it. That trick play when we are dominating and taking Ainge out when he was in a groove was bonehead. But man you gotta love Mayo, Berry, foster and Ainge, true Warroirs/Volunteers!

I thought JP handled himself well during the free throws with 8.8 left and the THUGS from Memphis getting in his face while he is at the line. TN showed they were the best team last night but also the best people. Super win and JP did give us a big second half boostbut I must say Tyler Smith was the best. That 2-pointer in the lane while a defender was beating on him was the Play of the Year! Tough and not to be denied!!!
On Strange: Prince makes certain Memphis knows his name
