in response to JSmith525: Are ya needing some attention today buddy? How are you? I hope everything is going well with you. And how much do you want to put on that Western Kuntuck win? I'll meet you bet? Just Saying.

Western Kentucky will beat Tennessee. The Hilltoppers will have better athletes....better coaches and they will expect to win. In two years, teams will be scheduling UT (cupcake team and an easy win) for the season opener.
Maybe it is due to the fact that he is a loser. Name one big game that he won? When a game was on the line, he ALWAYS choked.
in response to baldingalum: One of the more unappreciated players we have ever had. He comes across the country to go to college. The guy who recruits him bolts. He plays during one of the real low points in school history. He gets too much blame for our losses. He has a great arm and good height. He will make it. He will start.

To much blame for the losses??? Did it ever occur to you that he was the reason for many losses? He was the sorriest and most pathetic quarterback to ever wear orange.
Good...good...good. Laughing my arse off. I have despised that punk for a long time. He was the sorriest and most pathetic q-back to ever wear orange. Over and over, I stated that he did nothing but lose ballgames.
Translation----4-8 or 5-7.
Translation-----4-8 or 5-7.
After the game, I guarantee you fans will be asking "what skills?" All you will see tomorrow is a glimpse of an upcoming 4-8 or 5-7 season. Instead of calling it the Orange and White game, it should be changed to the Pathetic and Unbelievable game.
It will be fun watching another future 4-8 or 5-7 team. Here is an ideal: instead of calling it the Orange and White game...maybe it should be called the Pampers and Luvs game.
in response to jjk: If this is the case, it may be another long season on Rocky Top.
in response to jjk:
If this is the case, it may be another long season on Rocky Top.
May be??? I guarantee you 5 wins will be a miracle.
Chemistry???? Does it take chemistry to play poorly and lose? The Vols basketball team needs two or three "smart" players.
Blah...blah...blah. In two years, has there been any improvement? All I have seen is a pattern of losing. Next year, will be no different.
Someone please explain how this pathetic excuse for a coach can still have a job? How much more do people need to see? Next year will be no different. The idiots at UT will wait until the basketball program is 10 feet under and then decide to make a coaching change.
I am always getting blasted for my negative posts, but one more time: other than Florida, who did UT beat in the regular season? One more time: how Martin can still have a job is beyond belief. It absolutely amazes me the number of people that actually believe he is a good coach.
The Vols are still in self pity mode for not making the Big Tourney. Once again, the Vols will not be ready, but Mercer will be. When TN loses, do not be shocked.
Other than Florida, name one decent win? When they needed an absolute must win, they choked as usual. They are pathetic. How Martin can still have a job is beyond belief. I guarantee and promise you, UT is headed to the NIT....and that will be one and done.
You have got to be kidding me?? A few practices and Jones is already spewing out ridiculous comments. The players should be full of momentum and enthusiasm. Jones' quote sounds awfully similar to Dooley's "Not going to have Tennessee to push around anymore." I am sure the college football world is very concerned. More like laughing their arses off. Once again, UT has hired a coach that will keep the football program under "laughing stock" status.
in response to gomer: Delusional!!! How are we in the makings of a great season? New staff, new systems, new qb,wrs,rb, coming off 4 losing seasons in the last 5 years, some of the worst talent in the conference, and a murderous schedule in butchys first year so tell me how your delusional brain thinks up this great season stuff based off no evidence, sorry but I'm just tellin the truth! You dooley delusionals just don't learn, y'all think as long as you keep shouting from the mountain tops how great the vols are it will make it true, but sorry to burst your bubble we are on the bottom of this conference and will be there for quite some time. As long as the incopetant bama dave and his clowns are running the circus, but go ahead keep smiling and proclaiming every spring and summer how great the vols are gonna do!!

Tennessee fans...delusional??? Where have I heard that before? Everything you wrote is 100% correct.
Other than the Florida win, this season has been a joke. The coaches and the team are pathetic. How can Martin still have a job next year?
With all the 5* running backs that Graham recruited to Tennessee, does UT really need a running back coach? Weeks ago, I mentioned that Graham did not seem to concerned over not recruiting a top notch running back, BUT was more concerned about his Nashville podium performance and Disney World vacation. Glad he is gone!
Well, well, well. A few weeks ago and after a pathetic recruiting class in the SEC, I blasted the coach and the staff for what seemed like to much joking and laughing. I mentioned that Jay Graham was more concerned about his podium presentation and Disney World vacation than recruiting a big time running back. The piece of sheet knew he was leaving. What do you think about Graham now?
in response to Olddogsrule: When your mother was instructing you that “Life wuz like a box uv chahclats”, why didn’t you listen? Things change. It is no longer 4 yards and a cloud of dust. Not since the game changed from the ‘dead ball’ to the ‘live ball’ era. Also, what I do for a living, the number of teams I’ve coached, the degrees I and my family earned and are still earning from various univerities, my financial situation which bears on season tickets and annual donations etc., are absolutely none of your business. Further, have no bearing whatsoever on my or anyone else’s credentials for fandom. Season tickets and scholarship donations do not give me or anyone else the right demand anything from our teams other than to comply with the governing bodies (SEC, NCAA) requirements to remain eligible to compete. Every fan wants their team to win games, conference, and national championships, whether they can afford season tickets and to donate or not. I said I have coached and I have participated in my (as an employee) company’s team building and mentoring programs and they have spent millions on employee development. NCAA academic rules for admission are increasing. Further, NCAA rules for college teams Academic Progress Rating (APR) demand that all colleges prove that their athletes are satisfactorily progressing. Failure for a school to manage their athletes grades result in increasingly severe penalties. Southern lost postseason play in football and basketball. UConn lost two scholarships, and it could have gotten worse, losing practice time and more scholarships. Every school must have in place an culture and program of rules for academic compliance that produce results. For the University of Tennessee to be publicly announcing a program that enhances their student athletes’ potential to succeed is highly laudable. You can take your last century personality disorder and shove it where the sun don't shine. Your ways are part of the problem, not the solution.

First, let me say B.S. Second, that is exactly what I thought: you are not a UT graduate, and the only games you probably attend are the season opener. I bet that happens only once every few years. You know, when you can get a cheap or even a free ticket. Go try to impress others with your words of wisdom. So full of yourself!

Were you an employee, you'd be out the door, ...and don't let it slap you in your arse on the way out. Your type is poison in any organization. Willfully ignorant ... no wonder you have no fun

Coach of the year and Mr. CEO...my apologies. I thought the UT football program was at rock bottom and would be a bottom dweller again this year. What was I thinking? Implement VOLympics, and I now see a 10 win season. Next year, UT will be playing for the SEC title...maybe National Title?? Just curious, could our company afford your charges for a speaking engagement? Our work group consists of alumni from many distinguished universities, but I am sure they would love to hear your thoughts/experience on corporate team building. Just curious, are you a graduate of UT? Also, what do you average spending per year (games) on UT donations, tickets, gas, food and motels?
in response to Olddogsrule: notfunanymore's post truly shows his ignorance. Truly, truly, truly a post by an uninformed individual on the benefits of teambuilding, how it's done, why it's done, and techniques for doing it. Go up to a previous post of mine and follow the links. Pick a few sites and educate yourself. Team building works in athletics, (The US Olympic Hockey Team does it) actually pretty much any team that's got a coach living in the 21'st century does it. Billion dollar corporations do it. CBJ's got the right idea notfunanymore, and you're just plain wrong.

I forgot to mention my third thought was group viewing of Barney every Monday night. Since you are so knowledgeable of the U.S. Hockey Team and billion dollar corporation's development tactics, I bet you thought Dooley's ceramic dog was an excellent ideal?? Other than what you can find on the internet to post and make yourself look good, you know nothing. Go ahead and take a few minutes to do more internet research. Post those findings as well. I have been known to use the word "delusional", and you are a prime candidate.
What UT needs is a thump some skulls, kick some arse and run till they puke type of coach.
in response to thevoice: I guess this is Dooley's equivalent to the ceramic dog; what a joke. Go Coach Jones, we're behind ya.
in response to thevoice:

I kid you not, those were my first thoughts as well. My second thought was: when is nap time and coloring time? I get raked over the coals for all my negativity, but this is absolutely unbelievable. Just when I thought UT had gotten rid of an idiot (Dooley), they hire another clown. I know Jone's intentions are good, but this is elementary/middle school antics.
Does anyone want my opinion?
No jokes or laughs? No talks of vacations? Maybe he finally realizes that 11 teams in the SEC recruited better than UT. Maybe this will be another "year zero"?
Stokes/team are just now having a "learning experience"? How many games have they played? Unbelievable! Playing for any other coach or team, Stokes would be a highlight reel. Under Martin, does anyone actually think the basketball program will improve? He is pathetic. Just like football, the basketball program is headed toward the cellar. BUT, I can already hear 95% of the delusional Vol fans..."wait until next year."
After all their jokes/laughs and vacations are over, maybe these clowns will realize just how important recruiting is. It already seems as if everything is a joke to these coaches....not a good sign at all!
Once again, UT more/less finished last in recruiting in the SEC, and these clowns are finding a joke in everything. All is well and good with the football program, so keep laughing it up coaches. We will see how comical another 5-7 (more like 4-8) season is. 95% of UT fans are delusional.

Keep on believing all is okay and things will get better with the football program. Maybe one day, you and the rest of the 95% delusional Vol fans will get a clue.
Jay Graham was not concerned about recruiting/signing a top notch running back, he was to worried about his podium performance in Nashville and Disney World vacation. Just another bunch of clown assistants. Get used to 4-8 and 5-7 seasons.
Let's see....UT more/less finished last in recruiting in the SEC. The football program is practically gone, BUT these clowns are worried/joking about their performance at the podium. Guarantee you Saban/staff were not worried about their podium performance, I bet they were already discussing future recruits. Bullsh%* like this is why UT is the laughing stock in college football. Do you remember all of Dooley's stupid quips and attempts to be comical? How funny is he now?
Blah..blah..blah. The football program is gone. Prepare yourself for 4-8, 5-7, and 6-6 seasons for years to come.

"Will be in the future"?? They are already pathetic. Wait three more years, and the women's b-ball team will be right there with the rest of them.
in response to BIVOLAR_BEARE: Well, if you're attending games and not enjoying them that's a "YOU" problem. And IMO that's a waste of hard earned money (stupidly wasted). It's not like you have to attend UT fb games, that was clearly a personal choice you made.

Better use as in BGS, ETN, SMP, MCHP, ISIS, BP and LTD.
in response to rtrchatt: Difference makers lol... UT does not have ONE RB or WR that would see the field if in an Alabama uni. Best returning skill position depth and talent in the country. Parade Player of the Year RB Derrick Henry already in school and ready for spring ball.

I agree. Alabama???...those little babies would not see playing time at South Dakota State or Lehigh. Maybe Adams meant the "difference" makers would be in the Western Kentucky, Austin Peay and South Alabama and Kentucky games. All four of these games will be a struggle, but the "difference" makers might keep UT from losing these games. What a joke UT football has become.
After another 4-8 or 5-7 season, let's see what people are saying. 95% of UT fans are delusional.
Last year, we attended 5 games and two of those were away games. The only game we enjoyed was the N.C. State game. All the others were watching a poorly coached team full of little babies and spoiled brats. I would like to have all that money back, because it certainly could go to better use. There will be no tickets bought this year. Like last year, this year will be no different. The little babies will be LUCKY to win 5 games. We have realized the UT admin and board are idiots, and 95% of UT fans are delusional.
What is his excuse on Tyson Clabo and Randall Cobb? Enough of Fulmer. If he was such a great coach, why is he not coaching? During the 90's and early 2000's, Fulmer took advantage (recruiting) of pathetic coaching in the SEC, and he won. When Georgia, Alabama, LSU and Carolina established themselves with a decent coach, Fulmer could not beat them. Spurrier was a good coach, and Florida owned Tennessee. Had Fulmer remained the coach, the program would be no better than it is now.
What a joke these losers are. Martin is not a coach. Does anybody actually think the b-ball program is going to better next year or three years from now? Just like football, the b-ball team will be bottom dwellers. We are looking forward to hearing the usual excuses from 95% of the fans.
Once again, a poorly coached team (Vols) will be embarrassed again. Just like the football team...nothing but a bunch of little babies.
Blah...blah...blah. In the SEC, UT is ranked 11th in recruiting. Get used to 4 and 5 win seasons.

ut = 3 star program
9willbesofine, I do not agree with your statement....I think UT is a 2 star program. I am sure Butch Jones is a decent guy that will represent the university well. However, the stupid and pathetic UT administration has hired another coach that is not a proven winner. So, UT fans had better get used to 5 win seasons for years to come.
Also, you should know by now that if one speaks the TRUTH, their reply will be removed by the site staff.
"If only"..."the refs"..."could have"..."should have"..."wait until next year"...blah...blah...blah. The only thing that matters is UT lost again. This team will be lucky to win 3 SEC games. Hmmm...just how hard is it to recruit a shooting guard? It ain't rocket science!! Martin should be fired today, and I guarantee you the equipment manager would do a better job at coaching. Just like football, the basketball players are nothing but a bunch of pathetic little girls/babies. I would make them practice and play in diapers. Under Martin, there has been no improvement or player development. Anywhere else, Stokes would be a highlight reel. If Pearl were the coach, this team would be 13-2 or 14-1. As usual, 95% of UT fans have the "only if" and "wait until next year" mentality.
Blah....blah...blah. The Vols lost another game and that is all that matters. This team will be lucky to win 3 SEC games. At first, I liked Martin , but now it is obvious he needs to go. Same mistakes and no improvement. Under Pearl, this team would be 13-2 or 14-1. As I have said before, 95% of UT fans have the "wait until next year mentality".
The fans can thank four pathetic losers for the collapse of the football program...Hamilton, Hart, Dooley, and Bray.
Just like football, it is always "back to the basics". Now, we have to hear this nonsense in basketball? Maybe the athletic department and admin are simply full of idiots, and they hire losers to coach football (Dooley) and basketball (Martin). Please tell me that people do not actually believe Martin is a good coach. He needs to be dismissed after this season, because it is obvious he is not going to get the job done. He can't develop his players. But, it is always "wait until next year" with 95% of the UT fan base. Pearl would have these little boys playing much better.
in response to Rockytopfan96: WHAT WHAT WHAT......BRAY IS AWESOME!!!! He was the best thing that has happened to Tennessee for the past 3 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow! The mentality of some UT fans is amazing. Name one big game that he won? Now, name a big game that he managed to lose? Bray is nothing but a punk arse brat. When things didn't go his way, he QUIT and took his football and went home. Bray is a pathetic loser. Whoever the quarterback is this fall, will do a much better job than Bray. Wait and see!
Because some schools do not have sorry, pathetic idiots running the athletic department.
