I was at all of the Old Spice Classic games. Tyler Smith has got to do a better job on defense. In my opinion, he could have stayed on the offensive end of the court and been just as effective. I also agree with Pearl, in that,he was out-coached. Maybe its the youth of the team, but they certainly seemed undisciplined at times.

I will be on my way to Cocoa Beach on Tuesday. I look forward to catching all 4 days of the Old Spice Classic.
Although, I am a huge Vol fan, I think the "talking heads" have made Gonzaga the favorite of the tourney, with Michigan State 2nd and UT or Georgetown in the third slot. I really hope UT improves on this speculation by providing an upset.

I also think that winning this tournament this early in the season would be a bit to much to ask for this young UT team.
I hope I am wrong.....We'll see

On West ineligible for the season

The first time I will have a chance to see Pearl's team will be in Orlando toward the end of November. I agree with ohter posts who mention that UT fanns have high hopes all of the time. This team although, talented individually will have to work on team cohesiveness. I think Pearl can accomplish this but probably not right out of the gate.

I was disappointed to see the vols loose that game. Unlike the children here who run around saying "fire the coach, because thats all I know how to say" I am a fan of Tennessee. I have been following htis team since 1964. I enjoy every moment they are on the field, win or loose. If they nail one team they are not suppose to, we will then be even.
