I really enjoy the postings of overrated and The-Vol when they are not condescending. Most of the time I look for both of their post. However, they often tire me with the negativity. I believe both of our teams are going to be better but Memphis does appear to have further to go at this time. Their point guard situation is becoming a major concern and the selfishness of Tyreke Evans is debilitating to the team. The vols are just needing time to find who plays what rolls onb the team and they should take flight. With the emergence of Hopson they will be very difficult to contain on any given night.

UT will start slow and then begin to get acclimated to beating their man and wear them down midway through the second half say about the 12-13 minute mark and win going away. 81-67

There is a lot of things going on in life that are tough to handle so all I can say about this basketball team is that it is FUN to watch!

I hate to see Mike Gottfried get fired as he seems to be a really good guy. There are too many jerks at the top of his profession.

Why will Childress not play next year?

I'm ok with the ranking behind Memphis because they only have the one loss. Our guys seem to be a little tired mentally from all the top tier games they played in a row. Let's face it, the Vols are now the big game on everybody else's schedule. We will get their A game every time. A little rest and we will be ready to take on anyone, anywhere and at any time!

overated, I believe you are right about your tigers but why do you not see the vols in the same light as the tigers. They are very similar in most every way. Young, talented, long. Both teams have great upside and potentially can go deep into the tourney. Both have coaches who recruit great and I even believe Cal is a good coach, just a level or half a level below Pearl. I may just be a little impartial due to my allegiances but either way both of these programs have great potential to excell. If the tigers can find a point guard to perform in games and not just look good on paper the sky is the limit once you gel as a team. With that said I feel the vols are already at that point. They have a great point guard with all the tools for success in hand. The vols are beginning to gel now over the next 5 or so games and the sky is the limit. Good luck with every game except for Jan. 24
On Pearl: Siena is Vols' biggest challenge yet
