Ladies and Gentlemen,
It is time for action. Merely complaining about the negative posters only makes them want to post more. We must do something and I have two suggestions.
A long time ago, when I was but a boy, my mother told me that if someone is doing something that you don't like, ignore them and it will go away. Amazingly, it works. I think we could apply this edict to some of the posters on this website. The reason that they continue to post negativity is because they know that it bothers those of us who support the Vols no matter what. If these posts are ignored (i.e. not dignified with any type of response what so ever), I believe they will eventually stop. This will take a concerted effort on everyone's part, because one response makes it worth it to these "gentlemen" to continue to post negativity.
The second suggestion is to simply "suggest removal" of any and all comments that are negative just to be negative. Now, I do believe there is a place for objective facts be they positive or negative. However, complaining about how hard the coaches work when we get three linemen in two days and five recruits overall, is just silly.
Now I realize that this post in itself is a little hypocritical in that I am suggesting we ignore the negativity and I myself am smacking it in the face. However, I think this is the first step in ridding this site of these posters and in turn, possibly helping with the recruiting battle. (We all know that recruits read this site and that they are sometimes discouraged by all the negativity. Ipso facto, if there isn't as much negativity, they won't be as discouraged.)
Just my two cents and by the way, I have already suggested removal of the aforementioned post.

Let's just assume that he was the first pick in the 33rd round. If all 30 teams get a pick in each round of the draft, that means he was the 961st pick in the draft! Brainless. He is going to toil in the minors making less than a public educator for the rest of his 12 year career. What a moron.

KNS,
A little clarification on this article would be nice. You say she broke a national record, but also say that with that time, she ranks third in the NCAA Division I ranks. I understand (I think) that this means that number one and two are foreign born, but it is not easy to decipher. Also, is this a national record for this year only, or is it the best in history for the US?
Thanks.

Couldn't agree with you more utvolz. I am fine with either setup (everyone has a championship game or nobody has one), but for some leagues to have it and some not, is a crock. I also don't think it's quite right that Notre Dame is allowed when they aren't even in a conference for football.

Did anybody catch the article on ESPN about UCLA's QBs. I know it says that Olson should be healthy by the fall, but it still makes me giddy thinking how terrible they are right now and how much we're going to run over them in September!

Couldn't agree more wjackson. Also we must remember that the NBA is still deciding whether or not to force kids to stay in college for TWO years before they declare for the draft.
BTW. Anybody know when that is supposed to happen?

I second the motion to have Mr. Mattingly as a regular contributor to this site. A very well written article that was a joy to read and reminisce about.
Thank you Mr. Mattingly.

Couldn't agree more DaddyVol. I think Morgan needs to be the highest priority of the group. What a muunster! We wouldn't even need to feed him fritters. Looks like he already found the stash.
