This article really makes you think a lot about another person that CAN'T get along with Coach Pat. Geno always says, "she's the problem." This girl is proof that even if you start off on the wrong foot with coach Pat, the only reason the relationship breaks off is your own fault.. not the coaches. What a great story and a good example to ALL of us.

Some people on campus need to get these "athletes" into some off season programs or other sports so that all of this free time on their hands aren't spent doing stupid things. So far we have had 4 athletes get into some kind of trouble and it's not even Feb. yet!

i don't have anything against the man. I'm happy for Ole Miss, the coach, the Roughriders, and the Great White North. Can't people just have a little bit of fun once in awhile?

At least you don't see any "*&#^#%" words with our posts, or comments like: "Well, CPF should have jumped Ole Miss and hired this guy before another SEC trumps him and lands the big one."

American Football not only has 11 men... the field is 10 yards shorter, about 12 yards more narrow, and we get 4 downs per 10 yards.

Let's see if "dee ole Canuck up dair in de Great White North can comm on down hair and play some bahl."

Does this mean that Arkansas will switch from running the "Wild Hog" offense to the "Canadian Bacon" offense?

sjt18,

Mallett would apparently have 3 years of eligibility after sitting out the 2008 season. That would have him getting two good years (afer Crompton leaves in '09 to prove his NFL talent. He would have 2010 and 2011 to lead the program (provided he beats out Coleman).

FWBVol.... I was thinking the same thing. Name the 5 best QB's in the NFL.
both Mannings
Brady
Farve
Romo
Big Ben
what kind of system did they run in college and what kind do the run now? Pocket passing. Now, let's take the first 5 "new phenom" Qb's in college who were going to "redefine" the way NFL played the QB position.

Chris Leak
Troy Smith
Alex Smith
Michael Vick (legal troubles aside)
Quincy Carter
Vince Young

Not one solid 5 star recruit that I know of would say I only want to play college football... the NFL doesn't appeal to me. They all want to make it to the NFL.... so why not go to a school that will do all it can to make sure you make the next jump into the NFL?

WOW!!! I would love to see this guy come to UT. I would hate if or BJ Coleman (but that might push both to work even harder). Imagine how good it would make our 2007 recruiting class and the future. I don't think a lot of people are realizing the people we have coming to UT next seaaon. We have Morley and Faison coming in to make a big impact next year. Pair up those two with Eric "I'll cover everything" Berry and we WILL havet the best backfield in the Nation.
On the other side of the ball, we will have G-Gun with a year of experience and a seasoned offensive line. Mark it down now... McClendon will have a BREAK OUT year. He will dominate the OG position like John Henderson dominated the end position his junior year. I LOVE what we will be doing next year... only 9 more months fellas

I love the "true Vol fans" take on everything.

The way I see it is this: We can a have a coach who is a native son, loves his school, loves his state, loves the program he is in and bolts for Michigan when the money comes knocking; or we can have a coach who loves his alma mater, loves the UM program, and loves the Big Ten but stays at LSU when the money gets better; or we can have a coach who loves college ball, loves the NFL, loves whoevere is courting him at the time and then moves to ARK when things fall apart in the NFL or UL.

Thanks but no thanks, I'll take Coach Fulmer ANYDAY! With him, we know he loves our school, the players, the program, and everything about Tennessee. So get off his case and let him do the job he was hired to do.

If UT went 13-0, won the National Championship, had a Heisman trophy QB, a Heisman runner-up RB, Nagurski award winner, AP coach of the year winner, AND #1 recruiting class, we would still have these idiots on here complaining about something.

"I wish UT had Texas orange instead of the orange we use now."
